    Author Notes:

    The baby is coming sooner than expected…

     

    “Well…maybe just a little.”

     

    “Why didn’t you just talk to me?”

     

    “I don’t know, I wanted to be strong for us I guess.”

     

    “You know I don’t need you to be strong for me” Tina said pushing herself up from the couch and walking into the kitchen.

     

    Bette sat there for a moment, shaking her head, knowing full well she had done the wrong thing again. “That’s not what I meant” called Bette as she got up to follow Tina.

     

    As Bette entered the kitchen she found Tina facing the window, leaning against the counter the best her growing belly would let her. Bette quietly walked up behind her and wrapped her arms around Tina, her hands resting on her stomach. “I’m sorry” Bette said softly.

     

    Bette could feel Tina let out a breath of air.

     

    “You know I wish you would just talk to me when you are scared. You aren’t the only one who is scared, you know. It would be nice to know that I’m not the only one too once and a while” Tina said as she leant back into Bette’s embrace.

     

    “I know. I’m sorry baby.”

     

    “You don’t need to be strong for us” continued Tina.

     

    “I know.”

     

    “We’re not here to be strong for one another. We are strong because we are here for one another. Our strength comes when we are together.”

     

    “I know.”

     

    “I don’t want you carrying the entire burden. I want us to share.”

     

    “I know.”

     

    “Are you going to say anything else Porter?” Tina said turning around in Bette’s arms to look at her.

     

    “You’re so beautiful” Bette said with a slight smile.

     

    “That is so not fair!”

     

    “What? I’m just stating the truth ma’am” Bette said with a twinkle in her eyes.

     

    “Oh no, you don’t! That is so not allowed” Tina smiled as she tried to slide out of Bette’s arms.

     

    Bette merely held Tina tighter, leaning in to kiss her neck lightly. “I’m sorry Tina, you are right, our strength comes from each other” Bette whispered softly into her ear.

     

    Tina leant back a little to try and look at Bette.

     

    “I’m only strong because of you. I’m not strong for you.” Bette said looking into Tina’s eyes.

     

    “Since when have you become so understanding Ms. Porter?” Tina smiled as she gently pressed her lips against Bette’s.

     

    “Mmm, I’m not sure” Bette mumbled her reply as she pressed her lips gently back against Tina’s, her fingers gently massaging Tina’s growing belly.  

     

    “Let’s go to bed” Tina said softly as she reached down and laced her fingers through Bette’s pulling her along to the bedroom.

    11. YAY Kanaf is back! This was Awesome girl! I cannot wait to read more of this. I love fics surrounding the pregnancy, and how damn cute these two are. This line really said it all: “I’m only strong because of you. I’m not strong for you.” Bette said looking into Tina’s eyes. Good stuff, and if you think your creative juices aren’t back or flowing…you are DEAD WRONG! MORE MORE MORE. ;-)

    13. You know, I’m not so sure that when Alice left she didn’t actually “march right down to the doctor’s office and ask for a re-calculation or something”. LOL !! It does sound like something she would do. Hahahaha ! Anyway, thank you, thank you KANAF !! You’ve been so missed and I’m so glad you’re back !
