    Bette has a question to ask of Tina ( yes its THAT question )

    “And I will take care of you “ Tina replied “A partnership of equals “

     

    Bette nodded “ I suppose I better tell you about all of this “

     

    Tina stood up and helped Bette to her feet. Bette took hold of Tina and kissed her again . She put her arm round Tina’s waist and looked at the building site

     

    “This is the Kennard Porter estate”

     

    “Yours ?”

    “Ours “ Bette corrected her.

     

    “I have been looking for places big enough as well “

     

    “Let me explain “ Bette pulled Tina closer “ It was obvious that what we want doesn’t come on the market very often. I know that we could afford whatever came on the market but I started thinking about building something from scratch – exactly what we wanted. No compromises – the place for our six kids to grow up in and want to come back to when they grew up. So this has a great view – which you will see when we bring all the kids here in the next couple of days “

     

    “I thought about building a house but how long will it take “

     

    Bette grinned at her own cleverness

     

    “Then I found out about customised prefabricated houses. Once we agree on a design our house will be build off site and then shipped here and it will be put together in less than a week. The panels are steel and expanded polystrene. So the panels will be really sturdy and ecologically top graded. Tina – I promise you that we can be in our new home by Easter which is kind of when I want us to get married. The foundations are in place and Shane will do the landscaping – the garden is huge. What do you say babe ?”

     

    Tina had started crying again – Bette pulled her into her arms

     

    “Will you marry me ? “ Tina said between sobs of happiness

     

    “That is my line “ Bette said

     

    “So will you ?”

     

    Bette lifted Tina’s head up and kissed her with a long and loving kiss

     

    “Take that to be a yes “

    9. That was absolutely beautiful. I knew Bette had found the perfect home for thier very large family but I never expected that she would be having it built from the ground up. I am so glad that Tina didn’t get upset that she wasn’t the one who got to propose first. Wow Ollie made a 360 it is great how he wants to make sure that Bette and Paul are able to leagally take care of the kids should anything happen to Tina and him.

    15. Ahhh, that sure was romantic Ally. Nice thing about the pre-fabs is you can keep adding units until the rooms and houses are the size and configuration you want. So will it all be sleekly modern? I mean it about the NC-17. I want a great big fat one.
