Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 41 “Finale”

    “I’m sorry Ang….this………all of this……it’s………..it’s just so over-whelming.”

    “I know. It’s OK………this is a big thing for you……I understand.”

She took Lyndsay into her arms once again and held her tight.

“So I take it you are pleased with the results?”

Lyndsay simply nodded that she was indeed very pleased.

They looked at a few more pieces together, with Lyndsay relaying to Angie what she had felt at the time she painted it, then made their way to Angie’s apartment.

    The next morning……..

Angie laid awake watching Lyndsay sleep. When they had arrived back at the apartment, they had ordered supper and then after a shared a bubble bath they made love to each other slowly and tenderly. They had talked daily, but due to work commitments for them both, they had not actually seen each other for three weeks. Last night was a chance for them to reconnect completely with one another.

As Lyndsay opened her eyes, she found Angie watching her. “Hey you……”

“Good morning.” Angie replied as she placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

Angie pulled back from the kiss and asked Lyndsay “So…are you ready for today?”

“I think so. I’ve never done this before so I’m not really sure how to feel.”

“Well……I promise you I will be right there beside you the entire time.”

The two got out of bed and met up with Bette and Tina who were in the kitchen reading the paper and having a cup of coffee.

    “Morning Mom, Mama B.”

Tina looked up from her paper. She smiled when she saw the two young lovers together. It meant so much to her that Angie had found the love she did in Lyndsay. “Good Morning you two….can I make you some breakfast?”

Lyndsay replied for both saying that just coffee was good for now.

They sat at the table and chatted for a bit about the opening that night and what time everything would be getting started.

Bette and Lyndsay were left alone at the table for a few minutes and it was then that Lyndsay said

“I don’t know how to thank you enough for doing this for me.”

Bette smiled at Lyndsay. “Believe me it was my pleasure. As I have said to you before, you have an amazing talent and it was such a joy to be able to put together your first show. The first of many I hope.”

    1. Well, you know I loved this story and your writing, but i have to say I think it begs a sequel. I think that you should let that imagination run amok and see where it takes Angie and Lyndsay. You have a remarkable talent Taz and whether you write a sequel to this or not, I will be there for your next story!

    2. BRAVO !!! ***APPLAUSE*** Tazzie, I couldn’t agree more with Toby4ever! This certainly requires a sequel. I love when a writer can have me fall in love with a character which they create entirely. I have done so with Lyndsay. The coupling with Angelica is brilliant, and there are not too many people who could garner such a strong following when the “main” characters aren’t B&T, Belena, or Danish. You managed to capture the beauty of a story, and really had me on the edge of my seat throughout. How appropriate that this story should end just as the year itself comes to a close. Thanks for your kind words in your AN’s, but especially the intimate email’s which share our lives. You have become a lifetime friend, and I’ll forever be grateful that our paths crossed. I am also quite thankful that you took that chance to sit down and hit POST on that very first chapter. I know that writing has become a part of you now, and what you have received in return from gracious readers who take the time to comment can never be taken away. Looking forward to your next creation. Please don’t take too long. xo

    3. I loved this story…I agree with toby, a sequel would be very nice. I was hoping that Angie would propose to Lindsay…that’s where the sequel could start.

    4. Brilliant! I have to agree with Chicki that this story requires a sequel. I have been captivated by the story, as you know, since you started it. I too have been blessed to have formed what I hope is a lifelong friendship between us. I am looking already looking forward to whatever you write next. To echo Chicki, BRAVO! APPLAUSE. TAKE A BOW. Your friend, K x

    5. You can take a bpw on this your first.and a lot of encores. Would love to see a sequel to this. hank you for this wonderful story. HAPPY NEW YEAR. a WONDERFUL 2009

    6. I have loved this story from the begining, and that’s exactly what it is the begining. I agree with the rest, a sequel is needed. How about Ang and Lyndsay get married, start a family, etc, etc. You are awesome by the way.

    7. Hey, Tazzie! This END was just perfect! Our hats are off to you and we have LOUD CLAPS for you, for bringing us such an excellent story. Just holy wow, dearest Tazzie! We agree with the majority here, who requests a SEQUEL. Oh, yeah. Whenever you feel that you are ready to give us the ride to the development of Angie and Lindsay’s relationship, we are ready. Just give us the call and we will fasten our seatbelts to do the trip you invite us to make. Have a Happy New Year and our best wishes for you and your family, sweetie! – Hugs and kisses on both your cheeks. Lucero & Marsha (Proud Salsa Aunties to the ever loving JC and Eunichick)

    8. Following Chicki’s lead, Brava!!! on your first story. Indeed I’ve followed it and loved every minute of it. You have done a wonderful job of giving us a story reminiscent of Bette and Tina yet not having them as your main characters and that in itself is something to be very proud of. Because I, like many others, only read stories about Bette and Tina. You have captivated the spirit and love of our girls while developing and maintaining a story about other characters, the mark of a very good writer. And yes, this may be the end of this portion of their lives but it does BEG A SEQUEL. We have to know how successful the showing was and what happens to them in their lives and love for each other. Wonderful first story. Please grace us with a SEQUEL to this wonderful story and, if not, we will follow you with whatever you choose to write. Thanks again for a wonderful story. Happy New Year, wish you and yours a very successful 2009.
