Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 41 “Finale”

    “You doing ok?”

    “Yeah…just a little nervous.”

“Lyndsay….I was just in the gallery and everything looks great. You are very talented and I’m sure that tonight will be a huge success.”

“Thanks Tina. I guess I just don’t know what to expect.”

Just then her Mom and Dad came walking through the door.

Tina saw them enter the reception area and nodded to Lyndsay “Maybe this will help the nerves a little…..” as she pointed towards the entrance.

Lyndsay saw her parents and rushed over to them receiving a huge hug from each of them.

“Mom, Daddy….I’m so glad you are here.”

Barb wondered if there was a problem. “Lynds….is everything ok with the show?”

“Oh yeah…Mom….everything is fine with the show…I just missed you both and I’m so happy that you are here.”

Tina gave the family a few minutes alone before walking over to greet them.

“David, Barb….nice to see you both again.”

David walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek and said hello, followed by his wife who gave her a small hug while saying hello.

Tina was the first to start the conversation. “So I guess you are both pretty excited about tonight?”

Barb replied cordially. “Yes, we are anxious to see what Bette and Angie have been able to come up with. I’m sure it will be something special.”

David added “We trust Bette and her ability to make the best decisions for our daughter regarding the artwork, not to mention the role your own daughter has played in making today possible. I will forever be grateful to her for helping Lyndsay gain the confidence to do this. I have a feeling this is going to be a night to remember.”

Tina responded, “I agree…..Lynds, why don’t you take your Mom & Dad to the North Gallery and let them see for themselves.”

Lyndsay took her parents by the hand and led them to the back gallery where she found Angie, Bette and Meg going over some last minute details.

Seeing her girlfriend walk in, Angie went over and said hello to her Mom and Dad. She encouraged them to have a look and said she would catch up with them in a few minutes, then returned to where Bette and Meg were standing.

    1. Well, you know I loved this story and your writing, but i have to say I think it begs a sequel. I think that you should let that imagination run amok and see where it takes Angie and Lyndsay. You have a remarkable talent Taz and whether you write a sequel to this or not, I will be there for your next story!

    2. BRAVO !!! ***APPLAUSE*** Tazzie, I couldn’t agree more with Toby4ever! This certainly requires a sequel. I love when a writer can have me fall in love with a character which they create entirely. I have done so with Lyndsay. The coupling with Angelica is brilliant, and there are not too many people who could garner such a strong following when the “main” characters aren’t B&T, Belena, or Danish. You managed to capture the beauty of a story, and really had me on the edge of my seat throughout. How appropriate that this story should end just as the year itself comes to a close. Thanks for your kind words in your AN’s, but especially the intimate email’s which share our lives. You have become a lifetime friend, and I’ll forever be grateful that our paths crossed. I am also quite thankful that you took that chance to sit down and hit POST on that very first chapter. I know that writing has become a part of you now, and what you have received in return from gracious readers who take the time to comment can never be taken away. Looking forward to your next creation. Please don’t take too long. xo

    3. I loved this story…I agree with toby, a sequel would be very nice. I was hoping that Angie would propose to Lindsay…that’s where the sequel could start.

    4. Brilliant! I have to agree with Chicki that this story requires a sequel. I have been captivated by the story, as you know, since you started it. I too have been blessed to have formed what I hope is a lifelong friendship between us. I am looking already looking forward to whatever you write next. To echo Chicki, BRAVO! APPLAUSE. TAKE A BOW. Your friend, K x

    5. You can take a bpw on this your first.and a lot of encores. Would love to see a sequel to this. hank you for this wonderful story. HAPPY NEW YEAR. a WONDERFUL 2009

    6. I have loved this story from the begining, and that’s exactly what it is the begining. I agree with the rest, a sequel is needed. How about Ang and Lyndsay get married, start a family, etc, etc. You are awesome by the way.

    7. Hey, Tazzie! This END was just perfect! Our hats are off to you and we have LOUD CLAPS for you, for bringing us such an excellent story. Just holy wow, dearest Tazzie! We agree with the majority here, who requests a SEQUEL. Oh, yeah. Whenever you feel that you are ready to give us the ride to the development of Angie and Lindsay’s relationship, we are ready. Just give us the call and we will fasten our seatbelts to do the trip you invite us to make. Have a Happy New Year and our best wishes for you and your family, sweetie! – Hugs and kisses on both your cheeks. Lucero & Marsha (Proud Salsa Aunties to the ever loving JC and Eunichick)

    8. Following Chicki’s lead, Brava!!! on your first story. Indeed I’ve followed it and loved every minute of it. You have done a wonderful job of giving us a story reminiscent of Bette and Tina yet not having them as your main characters and that in itself is something to be very proud of. Because I, like many others, only read stories about Bette and Tina. You have captivated the spirit and love of our girls while developing and maintaining a story about other characters, the mark of a very good writer. And yes, this may be the end of this portion of their lives but it does BEG A SEQUEL. We have to know how successful the showing was and what happens to them in their lives and love for each other. Wonderful first story. Please grace us with a SEQUEL to this wonderful story and, if not, we will follow you with whatever you choose to write. Thanks again for a wonderful story. Happy New Year, wish you and yours a very successful 2009.
