“Just come afterwards,” Alice replied after giving it a seconds thought. “You, Ms. Fairbanks, are not getting out of this party.”
“Okay, okay, I am in. I’m going to finish my run,” Dana said standing up. “Text me with Bette and Tina’s address. See ya, Al.”
“Bye, Dane,” she replied waving to her friend.

By the time Dana got to Bette and Tina’s Saturday night the party was in full swing. People where everywhere- inside, out back, in the pool. Unlike the regular party scene at UCLA, everyone, while still having there fair to drink, seemed far more relaxed.
“Look at that hottie,” Dana heard Harrison say next to her.
Following the dinner, Harrison had asked Dana what she was doing. Not having the heart to blow off her good friend, Dana explained about the house warming party and invited Harrison along- even if it meant she’d have to play it straight to night.
Dana followed Harrison’s line of sight to a group of men and women sitting over on the couch.
“Go for it Harry. I’m gonna get a drink and see if I can find Alice or Shane,” Dana said looking for the kitchen where she found all three, plus Bette and Tina
“DANA,” Alice and Shane exclaimed toasting her arrival.
“Damn lushes,” Dana said shaking her head at her friends’ antics. She then turned to the two hostesses for the evening complimenting their home and thanking them for the invite.
“No problem Dana,” Tina replied with a smile as Bette fixed Dana a drink. “Alice was saying you had a dinner or something?”
“Yeah, just something for the tennis team—speaking of which—I hope you don’t mind but I brought a friend along. He found some hottie when we walked in and went to go talk to her.”
Alice gave Dana a weird look, “You mean Harrison?”
Taking a sip of her drink after nodding her thanks to Bette, the brunette replied, “Yeah why.”
“Harrison might have found someone but it sure wasn’t some chick,” Shane said.
Looking confused, Dana said “What do you mean?”
“Dana- Harrison is gay,” Alice said as if it was the most apparent thing in the world.

Yey, PARTEI!!! Man, Alice should have had a flirting partner at the party. So Dana can know that she wants Alice not REDHEAD…. :P I guess that’s too generic though. lol I’m glad Jamie is gonna appear again. Gah, she’s such a good friend. But I’m wondering… when Shane, Tina, and Bette were introduced? I guess Alice connected them to Dana? :) Heee… I’m excited. PPS
Ok lets hope Dana chooses Alice for sake of my sanity. PLEASE. Jamie is like Yoda from another town..and she seems to keep Dana in check. I agree with pandakse,Did alice do the chart thing and connect everyone together or did they just meet? Idk. But yet again another great post, Thank you

Another great update! Sweaty!Dana is a good thing. You write the Danish friendship conversations really well. “Not the damn puppy dog eyes” — Hee! Too funny that Dana didn’t realize Harrison was gay. I love how you wrote them coming out to each other while also saying they were both in the closet. Well done. I don’t think Harrison will be happy about that 6 AM run. “Herding cats”, indeed. Been there, done that. I don’t know if Harrison is gayer than Dana, but, it is a close call. So cute that Dana gave Al her jacket. I can’t wait to see how things fall out with Lara. Maybe it’s better to get her out of the way now so we can get on with the Danish? ‘Cause it is all about the Danish… Thanks so much for the great chapter, anionayo!!
It is always easier to comment after MaGoose. Pretty much what I would say. Look, as hard as it was to choose between A & L, it was only fair to D that she got to know each of them in depth. Without tasting the sourness, one will not appreciate the sweetness as much. They were all young and would have ample time to figure out what they wanted and needed. I totally trust that you will bring us happy danish ultimately. In the mean time, please feel free to let D live her life to the fullest. btw, love Harrison and Jamie. Thank you anionayo.
Amazing update, anionayo! Things are a little complicated right now: Dana likes Alice, Alice likes Dana, neither of them wants to make the first move, and then there’s Lara… With all this, I wouldn’t be surprised if Dana chose to date Lara. I’m not against it either, as long as it’s Danish in the end. I’m curious what Jamie has to say about this, after all she’s not a Danish fan like us, lol, she should be unbiased on this. Even a blind men can tell Harrison is gay, but not Dana, lol. I love her even more now :) Sorry I missed the other two updates, I was away on a trip. I agree with you on the Alice – Dana – Lara thing. It was unrealistic and let me add ridiculous and stupid too. I wish things had been different, but we still have great stories like yours to make up for it. Thanks a lot!!!
