“But, Darling, what will I do when the truth is coming out ?” Helena was clearly ashamed now.
Bette thought about that for a moment. “Does it have to ?”
“Yes !” Came the prompt and earnest answer.
“Hmm, if you’re sure, we just have to find the right moment for it.”
Helena was impressed with the non-judgemental words.
“We ?” She murmured.
“Sure we. We’re together now. So it’s my responsibility to protect and help you. Do you mind ?” A little insecureness crept into Bette’s last words.
“Mind ? No, never ! I so love the fact that you’re willing to help me and stand by my side. And for the record, the sames goes for me regarding you… and our relationship !” Helena took Bette’s hand and placed a kiss on her wrist.
Bette suddenly smirked. “Maybe I should quit my new job and be your kept woman.”
Helena laughed at that. “You are a Doofus, my heart ! Never in your life you’ll be happy with not working. And while we’re on this topic… I’d like to help with buying the new house, so you don’t have to sell too much of your collection !”
This was one thing Helena had hated most about their morning discussion. Hearing Bette had to give up something that meant so much to her and knowing she could easily prevent it.
“That’s a very nice thing to say, Love. Regardless, I’d like to go through with the selling, but you’re welcome to be a co-owner of the new house.” Bette said quietly.
Helena looked startled at that. “May I ask you something, Bette ?”
Her british accent was so endearing to Bette, that she nearly didn’t respond. “You can ask me anything, Helena !”
“The old house… is it only in your name ?” She sure as hell wouldn’t bring Tina into all this.
“Yes, it is. I’m free to do with it as I please. At the time I bought it, I just didn’t think about co-owning. And I’m sure glad now.”
She watched Helena’s reaction to that. Relief spread over her face like wildfire.
“You know, Darling, that makes me feel damn special right now.”
“Hmmm… special… that you are… my heart.” Bette whispered.

This was hot and at the same time light to read. i’m really curious to know how hel’s is going to explain things about her fortune, especially to Mrs P but i’m glad she’s not poor. And buyong the house together with Bette wow I know someone who’s gonna turn green when she finds out :). PPS

F*ck!!! You lied to me, you said you wouldn’t post before the weekend and than I step somewhere in the best bar in cyberspace and learn that you’ve posted. Not that I’m mad at you about that because I know you never break a promise, so I’ll assume that you will post your chapter 25 somewhere during the weekend, isn’t it luv? Writing NC-17’s is not your thing huh, than please explain to me why I feel the way I do now after reading this chapter. Anyway loved this chapter a lot and after the cold shower I’m gonna take I will feel a lot more confortable ;). Thank you for this one.

So Helena has millions, Bette’s getting a buddy for Blue and the two of them are gettin a house together. I don’t think this can get any better. Please post soon. But how about a warning next time b/c i’m in serious need of a cold shower about now.
