In the master bathroom April Sullivan was just getting ready. The borrowed clothes fit nicely enough and she again couldn’t believe her sheer luck at meeting this particular group of people.

I can’t believe the half of what has happened the last 2 days. She thought. After all the shit I have been through the last year…

Well, luck has to turn around for each and everyone some day. Her IV piped up.

Maybe you are right and I finally have the chance to be happy for a change.

Just make sure, you don’t… IV was starting to answer.

Don’t you dare to say it ! I am gonna try my best and if I feel the need for you to comment, I’ll be sure to ask. With that April ended her inner dialogue and surprisingly got nothing more from her wise-ass inner self.

Tina was about at the end of her patience and finally was called into the doctor’s office for her results. She took a place in the visitors chair and tried to school her composure to the smiling face of him.

„Well, Ms. Kennard, I have good news and not so good news.“ He started. And as she was about to answer, he cut her off with a hand gesture. „I know, not a nice start for a conversation like this. But since I know your situation, I’d like to start with the good news. You are not pregnant !“

He could so clearly see the relieve in her posture and now his smile matched hers.

„The not so good news is another thing though. We discovered you have a serious bout of gastritis. That in itself is nothing to be worried about, because it is easy curable and right now just uncomfy. But my advise right now is to cut down stress, eat healthy and try to take it easy for some time, because we sure wouldn’t want to get it out of hand.“

„What ?“ Tina nearly flew off her chair.

„Easy, there. I’ll prescribe something for the symptoms you have now and you’ll be better in no time.“ Now the doctor looked at her.

„Ok, not pregnant, but gastritis. That’s it ? Really it?“ Tina was so relieved at not being pregnant, that the gastritis left her mind momentarily.

„That about sums it up.“ Her doctor wrote down the prescription and then handed her the slip of paper.

At Bette’s house herself, Helena and Margret Waters had all heard the car outside.

„Love, that is Shane. I am going to help her, ok ?“ Bette kissed her girlfriend and stood up.

„Yes, Darling. I think April will be here…“ Helena hadn’t had the chance to finish because Margret looked behind her to the entrance of the living room now.

„I guess she already is here.“

„Yes, she sure is.“ April grinned at Bette. „And that would be your daughter now, I assume.“

„Of course. And I know that smile wasn’t meant for me, so shuck it, Sullivan.“ Bette tallied her.

„My, my, Porter, is your kid that feisty too ?“ April laughed.

Helena and Margret Waters just looked at them with smiling faces.

„Looks like I really did the right thing to come here today.“ Commented Mags. „That reminds me, littl… Helena, do you know of a nice hotel were I can put my old bones down tonight ?“

„Hotel Bette comes to mind.“ April laughed. „I sure enjoyed my stay here so far.“

The adults laughed and then they heard the key in the lock.

„Oh, oh… I really need to get going to help her.“ Bette blushed.

„No need for that.“ April was already on her way over to the front door. „I’ll get Shane… and the baby of course.“

    And the door opened.

Before her was Shane. One arm full of an overactive baby girl, the other hand holding onto the key tightly.

    1. You’re just sick and wrong to end it there!! How cute was Angie that she was getting soo excited to see Mama B?? I can’t wait for these two to meet!! Hurry up!! LOL!!

    2. Hello kiju, that was just so awesome. I love how you have this family interacting it is like they are a real family, and I cannot wait for Angelica to finally meet Blue, and Dr. S I think that seeing Shane’s interaction with Angelica and her family will cement Dr. S’s desire and need to be with Shane. I love this story can’t wait to see where this goes, and good on you for not torturing Tina completely. Sincerely, JC

    3. Great one again, not much Blue in it but I think you reserved that for the next one huh. Mags seems to be a nice woman and a very clever one too. I just love the way Bette and Helena interact. Gonna go right to the next chapter now because I know you already posted that one :-)
