    Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit

Bette: Well, we had Kennard spaghetti and a salad.

Tina:  Dan said you guys ate in the school cafeteria for lunch.

Bette:  Yes, the principal made arrangements for us to have a free lunch. It was good. Daniel really did not have time to go out to eat. Oh, and we got a boat load of uniforms. I hope they last until Christmas. Then we are going to have to replace them if continues to grow, which he probably will.

Tina:  Wow, you are getting down your to do list rather efficiently.  We are doing well. Tomorrow is shopping day. Now that I do not have to get a realtor, we have all day to get what we need. We going to get a few things, but not near what you had to buy for Daniel.

Bette: Well just remember the space limitations and you will be fine. So how are you doing personally? You know tonight, when we were eating at the table, I really missed having you here. I was talking to Daniel as if he were you. I need to stop that. He’s not ready to help me make decisions about things.

Tina:  Well, I understand. I miss you too. I wish I had you here in my bed so I could just cuddle. I’m too tired for anything else. But I sure could use a hug.

Bette:  Me too. I am worn out. After this load of clothes gets finished, I’m going to go to bed. Oh, we do need to plan a small party or celebration for Angie for Monday evening. Do you want to go out to eat or shall we cook?

Tina:  Why don’t you and I cook a dinner for her. Why don’t you call Paris and Jeanette, Sonny and Kit to come for a family dinner?

Bette: Why don’t we make it a casual dinner – maybe we can fix some ribs and side dishes and a cake. We will have the big celebration before we leave for New York.

Tina:  That time is going to be tight. Maybe we can ask Helena and Dylan to host it?

Bette:  That would be good. She has a staff to put together whatever we want.

Tina: Okay, we will plan Monday on Friday and the going away party next week?

    1. Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…

As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
