    Daniel:  I love you too mom. And thank you for taking care of Angie. She may not say it, but she needs you right now. So, you get some sleep. And here’s Mama.

    Bette:  What was that all about?

    Tina:  I think he was assuring me that I was doing the right thing by being here in New York.

    Daniel interrupted the call and told Bette he was headed upstairs to finish organizing his clothes.  Bette waved at him and sat down at the table to talk.

    Bette:  Sorry about that. It was Daniel telling me he was going upstairs to finish sorting his new clothes.  Now…I need to tell you something.  First, I want to apologize for making a monumental mistake. And I am so sorry.

    Tina:  Bette, you’re scaring me.  What’s going on?

    Bette: You know when I talked to you this morning about how far away Malibu is from Whittington Elementary is?

    Tina: Yeah, you said two hours or more.

    Bette:  Well, I made a mistake. It only an hour and five minutes away. I talked it over with Daniel and we think that an hour each way is doable.  We can live with Helena and Dylan quite comfortably and we will be fine with the commute. I’m sorry, I should have looked it up before getting into a tizzy about it.

    Tina:  Oh, thank goodness. That’s actually very good news. I was wondering how we were going to handle that. Now is that why you are apologizing?  You haven’t found wife number 2 or anything have you?

    Bette:  No sweetie, I haven’t even had time to look much less find one.  Besides no one will ever replace you. You are my one and only wife. How are you doing sweetie?

    Tina: We have sold the apartment!  Marilyn is thrilled with it.  And Marilyn has agreed to be Angie’s emergency contact and will sign a medical power of attorney. We had a really nice dinner with Helena, Dylan and Marilyn at Empire Steak House. Really good steak and seafood.

    2. Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…

      As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
