    Bette (smiling):  Thank you for reminding me. They finished up their meal and proceeded with their chores. Daniel managed to get a load of clothes started before he took the garbage out.  Bette finished up the kitchen and looked in the freezer to see what was available for breakfast in the morning and dinner tomorrow

    Bette (smiling):  Thank you for reminding me.

Daniel managed to get a load of clothes started before he took the garbage out.  Bette finished up the kitchen and looked in the freezer to see what was available for breakfast in the morning and dinner tomorrow night. She saw some salmon which had been prepared along with some rice.  She took that out and placed it in the fridge to defrost.

    Just as she did that, her phone rang. It was Tina. She called Daniel over.

    Bette:  Hey Babe…

    Tina: Hey sweetie… how are you doing?

    Bette:  I’m fine sweetie.  Dan is here. Do you want to talk to him first?

    Tina:  Yeah, sure I do.

    Bette:  Here, talk to your mom.

    Daniel (grinning from ear to ear):  Hey Mom!

    Tina: Hey to you too… How was your day?

    Daniel:  It was long. But I got my test done and we got all my uniforms. I been removing tags and putting them away.  And guess what?

    Tina:  What honey?

    Daniel:  I’m going to be in the sixth grade at Whittington Elementary. I am so happy!

    Tina:  Oh, sweetie that’s wonderful. You got just what you wanted.  You still want to be in the sixth grade, don’t you?

    Daniel:  Oh yeah.  And they have a great after school program. Music lessons, art lessons, and sports – soccer, tennis, and golf. And the place is really nice. Even the cafeteria food was good.

    Tina (laughed):  Really?  That’s wonderful. So, what are you and Mama up to tomorrow?

    Daniel:  Well, in the morning, we going to buy my guitars and my violin.  Aunt Jeanette is meeting us at the music store. She’s going to have lunch with us. Then I’m going to the doctor and after that is still open.  We may go shopping for some casual clothes for the fall. Mine are getting a little small on me.

    Tina:  Yeah, that’s a good idea.  Are you two getting good meals? And are you getting enough sleep.

    Daniel:  Yes Mom.  We are getting at least 7 hours, maybe 8 hours. We are going to bed in about an hour or so.  We doing a few chores right now.

    2. Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…

      As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
