“Mmmm, hey babe…. what time is it?” Bette asked groggily

“It’s luch time, you hungry?”

“Starving, airoplane food doesn’t exactly qualify as a proper meal”

“Well Goodwill has made us some lunch, one of favourites actually. Should we head on down to the dinning room?”

“Lead the way”

Once they were downstairs and sat at the unusually large railway sleeper table, which Tina explained was one of the best types of wood in Zim, Farai served them lunch. Bette looked on in amazement as she saw how much they adored Tina and doted over her, she couldn’t remember seeing Tina this happy and it brought a smile to her face. It was then Bette noticed what they were eating and gave Tina a questioning look.

“It’s grilled toast with cheese, bacon and tomato. The first time I tried it was the day I had my railway-tracks put on, I had gone to my grandparents house and they wanted something they thought would be easy to eat. Needless to say it was one of the most painful things in my life but ever since then I’ve loved it.” Tina explained as she tried to supress her giggles at the memory it evoked

Bette looked at the concoction in front of her and decided that it can’t be as bad as it looked and cautiosly took a bite. She was plesently suprised when she discovered that it was actually quite good. It was then that Tina decided to drop the bombshell….

“Baby, I’ve got to tell you something and it’s quite hard. Well you see there’s a law over here against public indecency…”

“T, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. I mean I do have some self-control when it comes to you”

“No Bette, let me finish. It’s just that, well the law includes homosexuality…. in fact it’s meant for it. I mean we can hold hands and hug and stuff but we can’t kiss or anything like that.”

“T you can’t be serious?”

“Deadly, we can be arrested for it. I mean I always found it strange that I never saw any ***** or ***** couples but then I found out about the law and it kind of made sense”
