    Classical Repertoire… Chap 31

    Back in Zim:-

Bette and Tina had just changed out of their bikini’s into some sweatpants and t-shirts ready for dinner when the phone rang

    “Hello?”

“Hey sweetie, how was the flight? How things going? Does Bette like the house? How’s Tapiwa and the gang?”

“Whoa there, you’re starting to sound like Al with all those questions”

“Sorry hun, it’s just been ages since I’ve been home and I want to know the details”

“Alright well the flight was good, Bette crashed as soon as we got home but so far I think she likes it. Tapiwa and everyone send thier love and say they miss you. Farai’s a little thin but I think the meds are really helping…. how things over there? What’s going on with you and Shane?”

“I’ll tell ya later, there some people here who want to say hi”

“Ok, I’ll put it on speakerphone so Bette can hear too”

“Hey lovebirds, how you doing?” Al asked, first to get the phone through a little violence and a lot of complaining

“Hey Al, we’re good…. but you won’t believe what Tina just told me” Bette said, the anger evident in her voice

“Oh is this about that whole law thing…. it kinda sucks doesn’t it?”

    “You’re not kidding”

“Ok well we’ll chat later, gotta go before these two beat me up for hogging the phone”

    “Bye Al”

The girls spent about half an hour on the phone, passing it between them until Bette and Tina heard the dinner bell and said thier goodbyes and headed down for dinner.

Halfway through dinner, the phone rang again and Tapiwa brought the phone to the dining room and told Tina it was Kuzi was on the phone

    “Hey there, what’s up?”

“Well I think you owe me a night out if I’m not mistaken?”

“I guess I do…. is there still somewhere to go out?”

“Ya, Origins is still open. It’s the only decent place to go still”

“God I remember that place, I can’t believe it’s still going and the police haven’t shut it down?”

“I think they settled for putting it under constant observation, there’s usually about two or three cops outside”

“Ok well we might see ya there, I’ll talk to Bette and let ya know”

“Cool beans hunny, but what do ya say to just meeting me there. You can use your femanin wiles to convince your woman?”

“Hmm, I like the sound of that…. now can I finish my dinner?”

“*****, tell Bette I’m sorry and I’ll see ya later”

    “Ok Kuzi, see ya”

And with that Tina hung up and began convincing Bette to go out tonight, which to be honest didn’t take long. Bette found it hard to resist Tina and although she wasn’t keen on the idea she could see it was important for her.

This is kind of a filler as had to get the whole law thing out of the way but will write more about my country in the next one…. thanks so much again for reading! =0)

    2. Wow, I do know about the HIV deal in Africa and it is part of what I do for a living but to hear and read it in a story as a side line makes it all the more real to me. As always your story is larger than life and I love it. I am a sucker for a good waterfall and I don’t think there is one more beautiful than Victoria Falls. It has my vote. THanks again
