“You ok babe?” Alice said as she gently shakes my shoulder. I must have doze off a little. God I hate the mornings. I could never get more than two hours of sleep after a kill. Especially after cleaning up the mess that’s been left over. I let out a tired yawn as I sip the cappuccino that I brought over earlier. Ugh, don’t people know that living a double life is never an easy task?

“Jesus Al. I’m fucking tired.” I replied groggily as I rub my eyes in a sad attempt to waken my senses. That never works. I could feel her hands gently rub my shoulder. I can’t but feel a tingly sensation every time her hands come in contact with my body. I don’t think I ever loved anyone more than I loved Alice. Sometimes I even contemplate telling her the truth. But I don’t think I could ever do that. Knowing how she would react and what she’d do if she found out that her girlfriend is actually serial killer. But she doesn’t see what I see. She doesn’t see the injustices that go on in this world.

“Holy shit. Some one had a long night.”

I look up at the person who just spoke to me. Shane and Carmen had just entered the Planet and joined us at our table while smiling and giving off the “We fucked all night and no one else in the world matters vibe.”…yeah I know. Gross.

“What happened to you?” She asked me curiously.

“I uhm…had trouble sleeping last night…bad dream.” yeah I know it’s lame. But I was too fucking tried to think up something a little more convincing.

“Well maybe you would feel a little more energized if you actually got in earlier from your ‘late night walks.’ I mean even for a person of your stamina, 4 am is really pushing it babe.”

Alice is at it again. As much as I love her, she could really be an over protective mother hen sometimes. Then again I guess she’s just worried about me. She’s lucky I love her so much.

“Hey did anyone meet Lara’s new girlfriend?” I hear Shane asking over my tired yawn. Lara had a girlfriend? I’m surprised. She never mentioned it to me. I mean Lara could date whoever she wants. It’s not like we were dating now. I just hate being the last to know these things. I’m actually glad Lara’s moved on. I’ll always care for her and love her. I just can’t give her the care and love she deserves.
