    Family Sunday

Bette smiled at the thought of KiKi Smith creating a painting inspired by her garden…Tina’s garden.

They all admired the different plants and flowers. Kit stood next to her baby sister. Bette looked at Kit and linked pinkies.

    “It’s actually…Tina’s garden.”

Bette cleared her throat. Lexie nodded. Kit squeezed Bette’s pinky.

    “Is that purple hibiscus?”

    Bette’s entire face lit up.

    “Yes, it is.”

“They say it’s nearly impossible to find.”

    “Nearly,” Bette smirked.

Bette flashed back to when she surprised Tina with it. She remembered Tina had been talking about the purple hibiscus for forever and how disappointed she was when every florist told her it was nearly impossible to find.

“I guess I’ll just have to find something else to fill that spot,” Tina pouted.

“Tee, it’s no big deal. The garden is beautiful. You made it beautiful. We can find a different purple plant to put there.”

“Ugh. I’ll think about it when I get back from this location shoot. I just want to curl up with you tonight. I can’t believe I have to be away from you for 10 whole days. I don’t want to go.”

“Tee, you have to go. This is a big movie. And I am so proud of you. Thennnnn when you get back, we will figure out the plant situation.”

Tina kissed Bette on the forehead.

“Okay, Baby. Thank you for being…you.”

Bette looked up at Tina. She was leaned against her in their usual spot. Bette’s back was against Tina’s front. Tina’s hand was inside Bette’s shirt holding her left breast. Tina kissed her again, squeezed her breast and scratched Bette’s head. Bette decided in that moment to make it her mission to find the purple hibiscus while Tina was on location.

Bette made hundreds of phone calls. Every florist told her the exact same thing over and over and over again.

Purple hibiscus is nearly impossible to find.

It had already been eight days and still nothing. She made James do a ton of research. Tina was going to be home soon.

    “I found it,” James yelled.

“What are you talking about James?”

“What do you mean what am I talking about? What have you had me researching for days now?” James snapped.

    “James…,” Bette rounded her desk.

    1. Great chapter!

Bette and AJ and together with Tina, he is so smart and adorable! Very clever from him to let them join him in the pool.

Bette is ready to try to rebuild their relationship and Tina comes with that line, “Things that will most likely break your heart…some more.”. But they have to make a clean start and this is necessary to put everything out and then away to never come back.

I’m sad the end is coming but also looking forward to the next chapter.

      • Thank you so much! I’ll be tackling a GenQ storyline when I’m done with this one. This my first attempt at fanfic and it has been such a privilege writing this story. When it’s all done, I’ll go back and read it from start to finish to see what I could’ve done better.

Bette is ready to rebuild but she’s also nervous. She portrays alpha but we know she’s fragile. So I’m excited to see how Tina navigates her fragility and how Bette hopefully starts to forgive her. But I don’t know. We shall see.

Next chapter is going to be a doozy for sure!

AJ is my absolute favorite. I kinda wish I wrote him as an orphan or something. I love the way Bette and AJ interact.

        • You are a great writer, your writing style is really good, don’t think you have to change anything. I especially love how you write their inner thoughts. The story flows and keeps you wanting more.

I adore AJ, maybe you can add him in your new story. Bette doing something for a orphan house, they meet and Bette and him bond immediately and Bette wants to adopt him, giving him the warm and loving home he deserves. I am adopted and it would be so great to read something like that. But whatever you’re new story will be about, i will certainly read it!
