Dana didn’t hear from Alice again until she went back to school. She entered her dorm and noticed she had a message on the machine.
“Hey Dane it’s Al. Will you please call me at Lenore’s house as soon as you get this message? The mini is messed up again and I am stuck here. Please come get me before she drives me insane.”
Dana finished unpacking her car before she called Alice back. She wasn’t sure what to expect and she needed to talk to Alice. She needed to find out what happened this past weekend and where they stood.
Alice practically ran out of Lenore’s house when she saw Dana pull up and jumped into her arms. “I’m so glad you are here Dane. I don’t think I would have been able to wait until tomorrow to see you. I missed you so much.” Dana closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She fell in love more each time Alice said things like that. What happened over the weekend didn’t matter as long as Alice was in her arms.
As they drove to Alice’s apartment, Alice told Dana all about her weekend including everything that happened with Jay. By the time Dana pulled into the parking lot her knuckles were white and her hand cramped from gripping the steering wheel so tight. “So how did you leave things with AJ?”
“AJ?”
“Arkansas Jay.”
“We are dating. Lenore and his mom were both trying to get us together and we finally gave in. He lives in Arkansas and has a few female friends that I think might be friends with benefits though he says they’re not, so I don’t see it lasting.”
Dana continued to sit in the car making no effort to get out and Alice sensed something was wrong. “What about us?” Dana asked, her voice was laced with fear.
“He knows about us and he is cool with it. He and I are just dating. We live in different states so we don’t expect each other to be committed and not see others. If we find someone else than we agreed to go our separate ways. He is someone to hangout and have fun with when I am in Arkansas.”

I am thinking pretty much the same as MaGoose. Except, I would go even further to say that A was not acting responsibly. I find it very hard to accept her out right telling D that she was dating other people. WTF? How could she be so callous about it and at the same time telling D that she loved her. At present, I think D was more invested into this relationship than A. That was why D wanted to end her life?What a hopeless romantic! cougar, this is a terrific story, because this situation happens all the time and is sad. I feel for D being all alone reminiscing the yesteryears. Can’t wait for your next post. btw, 2 beautifully written NC-17 scenes from you and MaGoose consecutively is a rare Danish gem these day! Thank you very much!!!
I loved the update even though I think Alice is a bitch to Dana, I don’t think I woukd have put up with what Dana have to, I do how ever hope like everybody else for a happy ending..Loved it keep it up…
What a powerful chapter, cougar! Seriously… You churned up a lot of emotions. I love how this story shows the thoughts and feelings of Dana in both present day and when the events happened. I am glad Alice broke things off with Jay and seems to be opening up with Dana. I was initially very pissed at Alice for the Arkansas Jay thing. But now I am wondering if she is scared of the walls dropping and is trying to keep Dana from getting completely through the walls she has built. It was still a rotten thing to do, though. And I think Dana should either ask for them to be exclusive or maybe date someone else herself so Alice knows what it feels like. Obviously they work out something to be together for five years. You are getting the hang of the NC-17, I see. Very well done. Heh. Thanks so much. I have found myself to be really caught up in this story and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
that was a lot of emotions for one chapter but being an alice and dana story it the only way it should be can’t wait to read the next chapter so pps great update I love it
4 personal reasons al ia m saying…OOHH BOY…but on another note..that was a truly NC-17 story..brings bak memories of one of my past relationships..cant wait till ch. 9
great chapter! im dying to know what happened between them and why wouldn’t alice talk to her. ahh alice wat is she doing? does she realise that shes hurting dana or is she really oblivious to it? Is it okay that she’s sorta cheating with guys i wonder how dana would react if it was a lady alice got with hmmmm im sorry i want to know so badly lol.
