    A different spin on the B&T characters

     

     

    “Excuse me Ms. Porter.”

     

     

    Bette turned startled at the interruption to see what she presumed to be Peggy’s butler.

     

     

    The man smiled kindly at Bette. “I’m sorry to have startled you Ms. Porter but Ms. Peabody is waiting for you please follow me.”

     

     

    The butler began to lead Bette into the house she took in one more glance at the woman before she made her way into the house. Bette’s resentment for having to clear her schedule was starting to fade away for some unknown reason she felt more relaxed. As she walked further into the house she caught a glimpse of the paintings that were hanging on the walls.

     

     

    A few of them were paintings that had been out of circulation for quite some time she was silently thanking Franklin for being such an ass and making her come.

     

     

    The butler saw that Bette was no longer following him he waited for her understanding the lure that some of these paintings held especially for someone who had a passion for art. He would have gladly given her all the time that she wanted but he knew that Ms. Peabody wasn’t a very patient woman.

     

     

    He cleared his throat catching Bette’s attention who was grinning sheepishly. “I’m sorry it’s just I haven’t seen this particular painting since it was on display at the MET. I didn’t know that Ms. Peabody owned this particular painting.”

     

     

    “She doesn’t this belongs to Ms. Tina.”

     

     

    Bette was about to ask if Ms. Tina was the beautiful blond when the kindly butler continued to talk.

     

     

    “I often find my attention gravitates towards the walls but if you’ll follow me I’m sure you’ll find more works of art in the den where Ms. Peabody is waiting for you.”

     

     

    Bette smiled. “Then by all means lead the way.”

     

     

    “Ma’am Ms. Porter is here to see you.”

     

     

    “Thank you John can you see that the paintings are ready for my trip tomorrow.”

     

     

    “Certainly. Would you also like me to send in Roger with your lunch?”

     

     

    “Have him prepare the table and announce when it’s done.”

    1. HEY T! YOU HAVE ANOTHER WONDERFULL STORY STARTING AND IT SHOULD BE QUIET INTERESTING TK AN ARTIST.YOU CANT LEAVE US HANGING.you said you had alot things going on butt you have to find the time to come back for updates for both stories..tk a daughterinlaw not for long with bette around!

    18. This story is going to be full of twists and turns. Bette has to meet with Helena 3 times a month and TIna is an artist, who is Peggy’s daughter in law…..interesting. How long before Bette gets Tina to express her “artistic” abilities in a personal setting ? LOL! Please continue….

    19. Yes you should continue this story. I believe that Bette has found her next artist for the upcoming show. I hope that Tina is not with Helena and that the daughter in-law statement was more of a passing issue. It would not be a good situation for Bette to take Tina away from a Peabody.

    20. A T&B beginning,love them. I hope you continue with this one…Tina is PP’s Daughter-in-Law, now is it through Helena, PP has another Daughter or is it the Son. And to top it T is an Artist. Great Start, looking forward to reading more. Thanks.

    21. I’m hooked! I love any story that features Bette and Peggy. But better than that I love the twist you’ve put on things w/ Bette having already had a failed relationship w/ Helena. This should be very interesting…..Is Tina married to Helena or does Peggy have other children? So excited to read where you go with this story. You are off to a great start so please continue.

    25. Wow T this sounds like another great story! Franklin is an ass through and through. And it’s really not cool for Peggy Peabody to force her daughter in Bette’s face – it’s unethical on Peggy’s part to put Bette into that position. Peggy should pay to have her daughter educated elsewhere…you know she could tell that Bette didn’t want to do this part of the “proposition.” I wonder if Peggy has alterior motives. Tina as an artist sounds very inspirational. Can’t wait for more!

    26. Het Tori, A brilliant beginning. Fabulous to have the gang together and having a blast. Bette was overwhelmed by the beauty she saw on the beach and here’s hoping it is the same beauty now asking her if she needs some assistance. Terrific twist to have Tina (I hope) as the artist even if Bette has to put up with teaching Helena about art. Maybe Bette could use Tina’s paintings as an illustration. Getting to know the painter can only help appreciate the art. As always you have crafted a beautiful drama here. Full of promise and excitment. Please continue soon. A Fan.
