There were two dance songs in a row so Shane got up and went over to the DJ to ask her to put a slower, romantic one on. At the change of pace Alice looked over at Shane who smugly waved her hand telling Alice to go on, dance. Dana moved forward and said to Alice that they could sit down if she felt uneasy with it. Alice took just a split second and said no, she would love to stay for this one with her. Dana was a bit unsure at first where to put her hands and how close to get to her. She then moved so their bodies were touching and put her arms around Alices` waist. The close contact was driving her wild. Her breathing became rapid and she moved close to Alices` ear. She asked if she was ok with it and Alice just nodded. The whisper made Alice shudder. Alice placed one arm around her waist and one on her bare shoulder. Boy, Alice suddenly went really warm and a bit light-headed. She could smell Danas shampoo mixed with her perfume. Both girls were really sexually aroused, the electricity between them was almost unbearable. Alices` greatest fear had been realised, the barriers around her heart were melting away. She had her head on Danas shoulder, then opened her eyes. Over in the distance she could see the others hypnotised by the two of them. Shane smiled and clenched her first in a ‘I told you so, go for it’ fashion. Alice didn’t care, it felt so wonderful, it was like nothing she had ever experienced and was loving every minute. Suddenly she put her lips on Danas` shoulder and placed a light kiss. Dana felt the contact and thought about how her knees were feeling so weak. What should she do next?

The song came to an end and Dana thought they had better stop now otherwise she may go too far and she didn’t want to push Alice too much and scare her off. Dana stepped back so her hands were on Alices` hips and she looked her in the eyes. She asked if she was ok. Alice could only say hmm and nod, she was speechless and she knew her voice would waver. Dana then surprised Alice by taking a step towards her again so their noses were almost touching. Alice could feel Danas` breath on her cheek and she slowly closed her eyes. For what seemed like an eternity they stood there, another dance song had come on but neither had noticed. Dana slowly moved her head to the right of Alices` face so they were cheek to cheek then turned and placed the softest of kisses on her cheek. Alice didn’t move. The world had stopped! Slowly she opened her eyes to see Dana had stepped back and was looking at her face. She murmured she was beautiful and took her hand. Alice looked in disbelief as she walked passed her and led her back to the table. Alice thought her legs were going to give way.

The girls were astounded by Danas actions. They were open mouthed until they saw them making their way back over. Dana beamed at them and they all smiled back, except Julie who looked a bit shocked and saddened. Alice sat down, still feeling numb, her cheek burning where Dana had kissed her. Bette and Tina went to the bar to get a round of drinks, and Shane was beaming at Dana and Alice who just sat there exchanging sultry glances.

After the next drink they all agreed they were ready to go home. Bette and Tina shared a taxi and drove off. Alice, Dana, Julie and Shane shared one too. Alice and Dana were dropped off first, and after Dana had hugged Shane and Julie goodbye they stood on the drive and waved as the taxi left. Dana wasn’t sure but thought Julie looked sad, she had asked if she had enjoyed the night which she replied she had, even getting several offers from other women to dance. Oh well, Dana thought how she just had to focus on how things would pan out with Alice when they got in her home, and they were alone …
