    Shane finds out terrible news about Carmen..

    Shane woke up the next morning with a smile on her face. Her smile faded when she realized she was just dreaming. Her cell phone began to ring.

    "Hello"

    "Shane were all at the planet. Where the hell are you" Alice said with annoyance in her voice"

    "Shit Al, I slept late I think im just gonna stay here for awhile"

    "Oh, okay is everything okay?"

    "Yeah everything’s cool"

    "Alright call me later"

    "Bye"

    Back at the planet. . .

    The girls were concerned with Shane. They knew she wasn’t as happy as she seemed. As they were gossiping about Shane, Kit walked over with a sad look on her face.

    "Hey Kit what’s wrong?" Jenny asked.

    "Well I just got off the phone with Carmen to see if she wanted to DJ tonight and she told me terrible news".

    "Oh my God Kit what happened?" Bette asked.

    "Well Carmen’s mother passed away last week. She had a heart attack"

    "Thats horrible, poor Carmen I mean I hope she’s alright". Bette said

    "Carmen has gone through so much shit in these past couple months now this? I mean how much more could that poor girl take". Alice exclaimed.

    "Should we try to go meet Carmen and give our condolences." Bette said

    "Yeah we should but who’s gonna tell Shane?" Jenny asked.

    "Oh, God, Ill do it" Alice replied.

    As the girls finished up breakfast they made plans to go to Carmen that evening. As Alice left she dialed Shane’s number

    " Hey Shane can I come over?"

    "Um, im not really in the mood for company".

    "I have to talk to you Shane its important".

    "Alright I guess"

    "See you in a few".

    Shane couldn’t think of why Alice was coming over. It couldn’t be that important. As Shane was wondering what her friend had to tell her there was a knock at the door. It was Alice.

    "Hey Al, what’s up"

    "We need to talk. Its about Carmen".

    "What happened is she alright?" Shane asked terrified at her response.

    "Carmen’s mother passed away about a week ago." Shane stood their dumbfounded. Mercedes has always been like a mother to Shane. Shane whole body began to feel weak.

    "Im so sorry Shane, were all going to Carmen’s tonight you should really come".
