"Yeah she was a very loving woman".

They only sat inches away from each other but to Shane it felt like miles. Every chance Carmen got she stared at Shane’s beautiful face. Her high cheeks bones that Carmen adored. Those ocean blue eyes that made Carmen melt everytime they looked her way. Shane noticed Carmen was looking at her and stared back at Carmen. They stared at each other for a couple minutes just observing each others beauty. As the whole gang started to make their way to the living room they noticed Shane and Carmen staring at each other. They knew they needed their time together so they just headed back to the kitchen.

"Carmen im so sorry I wasn’t here for you when you needed me. I hate myself for not being here".

"Its okay Shane and who said I needed you?" When Carmen said that Shane stared at Carmen blankly.

"Noone said you needed me, I just wish I could of been here for you. I know I messed everything up and im sorry for everything".

"Don’t be sorry Shane, you did what you did for a reason and im fine with that. Im doing fine on my own I can handle everything myself really". Carmen’s words crushed Shane.

"Whatever Carmen, just know if you ever need anything Im here. Im not going anywhere."

"Shane how could you just pretend like you didn’t leave me! Act like nothing every happened. Like you didn’t break my heart you really amaze me Shane you can be completely clueless sometimes". Carmen broke into tears as well as Shane. Shane wiped Carmen’s tears away and hugged her. They both just sat their holding each other while crying their eyes out.

"Carm, I’m so sorry. Im just sorry." Carmen pulled away from Shane and replied

"Im sorry too for thinking you could change." As Carmen said that the whole gang came in the room. Shane just stared at Carmen thinking to herself im a complete fucking asshole. An hour later the gang was starting to leave. They all hugged Carmen again expressing their grief. As Shane hugged Carmen she whispered in her ear"Can we maybe get together for lunch tomorrow". Carmen replied " ill see if I have time". As Carmen said that Shane nodded and headed out the door.
