I have to have her.
Lost in thought, I didn’t here the clicking of heels on the hardwood coming up behind me.
“Excuse me?”
“Holy shit!” I yell, as I twist around with fist cocked, ready to face the asshole that has snuck up behind me.
“Oh shit, I am so sorry for scaring you. I thought you would have heard me come in; I was calling out as I came through.”
I stood there, stunned, breathless, and awestruck!
The hazel eyes, showing concern, and a little fear at my clenched fist, were the most incredible greenish/brown with gold flecks I have ever seen. I could see my future in those eyes, and the lives of our unborn children.
I just realize I haven’t said anything, other than a profanity in what seemed like an hour, but was mere seconds. I am not sure if I can speak.
I clear my throat softly, “Sorry, you scared the devil out of me? Can I help you with something?” As I unclench my fist, but tighten the grip on my heart.
The beauty before me is giving me the same look I am sure I just gave her a moment ago, and shakes her head slightly as if to clear her thoughts before she answers.
“Um, oh, yeah, sorry, can I use your phone please? I just got a flat tire, and need to call the auto club to get it fixed.”
The way her mouth moves, has me in a trance, and the light lilt of a southern accent is like a soft melody that you hum all day. I am struck by this woman, whom I have just barely met and whose name I have not learned yet.
“Uh, sure, sure the phone is right back this way.”
I brush by her gently in the narrow aisle, to lead her to the front of the gallery. As I pass I barely touch her arm, and yet the shock of her presence in this small space has my whole body tingling like an electric current passing through me from head to toe.
We both gasp at the same time, and I turn to look in her incredible eyes once more.
Did I just hear that, I think to myself, I stop walking and turn to face her.

Appears to be a good start to me. I like the bit of twist in how they met. Besides were always suckers for new B&T beginings. Looking forward to the next update.
Viva! A new TiBette story. It’s a wonderful start. Please do go on. =)
“TBC??” .. my responce HELL YEA! :D
I must confess I have not read this story yet, but I absolutely LOVE the title: “I Have to Have Her.” Love a woman of conviction! I assume that is Bette speaking.
Great start. Always love B/T beginnings especially when they are different. Looking forward to more.
This kinda reminds me of ‘Umbrella’ by SNS. High compliment, indeed! Please, continue. I Have to Have It!
Yes, techgal is right on – this story does have that “Umbrella” feel to it and by this I mean it is a very interesting twist on a TiBette Beginning and I love it and please, please continue!!!!!! ……… I have to have it, too!!!!!!
Loving the B&T beginnings. Great start, I hope there’s more very soon. Looking forward to see if Tina comes back (but I think we know the answer to that)
i love me some new B&T beginning…please continue
good start….continue soon…..
Please do continue, really like your beginning characterizations of B & T.
Love B & T beginnings, please by all means continue.
I love your beginning. Please let there be no Eric, pretty please. Can’t wait for the next chapter.
good start
this is a great start to a story and for a begginer its amazing. plz continue
WTF Tina would rather go wait by her car than stay and talk to Bette? It’s not like she was out in the sticks and didn’t have much of a choice in places to wait while help came along (I’ve been there and would’ve gladly let Bette keep me company and then taken her home lol). Methinks the majority vote is “yes” so please continue!
I think that I have read one of your stories a few years ago on the other site, but I never saw this one and I must say for your first try at FF this is very good and as another commentor noted, I like the difference in the way they met.
yes, yes, yes more please….we are all suckers for B and T beginnings!!!
