I had to stop my thoughts, focus on Tina. I wanted to feel Tina’s arms wrapped around me, her wonderful soft lips on mine. I felt the tears welling up again. I really missed her. I was sick of the crying but I couldn’t help it. I needed Tina so badly, why was it so hard to admit? What pride was there left? I made a decision.

Tina Kennard narrative

When the doorbell rang, I expected it to be Dana so I opened with a huge smile.

“Hi, Dane!” I said. My jaw dropped on the floor as I saw Bette, looking desperate, happy and hot at the same time.

She was wearing a black T-shirt that was centered at her taille and army pants. She was all sweaty and panting heavily. I saw a despair in her eyes that almost scared me. She looked… expecting, too.

“Bette,” I said. I didn’t know what to do.

“Hey, is that Dane?” I heard Shane calling from the living room. I wasn’t able to answer. There was a tension between Bette and I, we were both waiting for something to happen, hoping the other would do it.

“Tina,” Bette finally managed to say. “Tina, I love you, I miss you, I’m so sorry. I’m so terribly sorry. I hurt you and I made mistakes and I only thought about myself, how hard it all was for me. I am so sorry. Thank you so much for being that patient with me, I really really want to do whatever I can to make you happy.”

I was silent and then said: “Come here.”

Bette looked gratefully at me and took a step forwards. I threw my arms around her in a close embrace. Her smell dazzled me.

“You feel so good,” Bette said.

“You smell so good,” I answered. We both pulled our heads backwards to look the other into the eyes. The whole town would get electricity out of our energy. The butterflies in my stomach were almost exploding, my legs were jelly. For a split second, we hesitated, and at the same time we bowed our heads towards each other. Our leps met and it was amazing.

She stroke her tongue against my lips and then took my underlip between hers. She started sucking it and then she eased her tongue inside my mouth. I kissed her back, snaking my tongue around hers. I felt her laying a hand on my back and it felt so good I thought I would faint. I pulled her closer to deepen the kiss. I felt her warm tongue, I heard her soft sounds and I felt amazing. It was like we were kissing for centuries and I wouldn’t have minded if it were the truth.

We both gasped for breath and she smiled uncertainly at me.

“That was amazing, Tina.”

“You were amazing, Bette.

“What the fuck?” Shane stood in the door opening to the living room, looking at us in confusion.

“It’s okay, Shane,” I assured her. “It’s so okay.”

I kissed Bette again, holding her as close as possible.
