Tina managed to walk only two steps away when she felt a warm hand gently grab her right hand and hold her back. She stopped and looked back in shock as she saw Bette Porter holding her. She felt so tired and couldn’t find the strength to violently object. Sam, who noticed that the blonde had stopped moving, also looked back and saw Bette’s hand in Tina’s right. She pulled on Tina’s left hand to try and free the blonde from Bette but failed.

Sam looked at her best friend and frowned. "Let her go Bette."

"You let go, Sam." Bette angrily replied. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Saving her from you." Sam retorted. "You’ve stepped over the line."

"No.. you did." Bette snapped. "What is she to you?"

"She’s my friend. And what is she to you Bette?" Sam challenged, wanting to see if Bette will step up the plate.

"She’s my.. my.." Bette stuttered, completely unprepared to confess her feelings for the blonde when Tina was right in front of her.

Sam scoffed. "You can’t even answer." Sam laughed sarcastically. "All that talk this morning about making things right. What happened to that Bette?"

"You." Bette narrowed her eyes. "You happened Sam."

Sam just shook her head. "Unbelievable. Blame it all on me, right?"

Tina, who was being pulled by the two brunettes beside her like a yo-yo, silently cried in frustration. She looked down at her body. She was dirty and bruised, and her knee was slightly bleeding. She could even feel the mud starting to dry up on her face and in her hair. Her spirit was just as crushed as her body, too much abuse in one day. She slowly lifted her head to look at the cause of all the insanity in her life. Bette Porter. Her eyes narrowed as she saw her left shoe in the she-devil’s left hand. It looked no different from its owner.. although it looked a tad bit better than her right one. The brand new shoes suddenly looking old and over worn.

Tina had enough. She surprised the warring friends on her side as she forcefully broke free from Bette’s hold. With her right hand now free, she snatched her shoe from Bette’s other hand and slipped it back on.

And in one quick move, she found her hand connecting to Bette’s cheek in a massive slap. The brunette’s world shook at the contact. "You’re a heartless pig Porter!!" Tina shouted as tears streamed down her face. "You succeeded in making another one of your enemies feel like shit. I hope you’re happy." She said as she freed herself from Sam’s grip and ran out of the field.

"What the hell just happened?" Alice shouted as she and Shane ran towards their friends. From afar, they had seen the human tug-of-war that had just took place.

Sam only looked away as Bette just stood there, staring at the retreating form of the blonde. "Make it right.." She slowly whispered to herself as she touched her reddened cheek.
