    The Porters versus The Kennards..

     

    “Yes daddy.” Tina whispered under her breath as she looked down on her shoes. God, what was Melvin Porter doing in here? She fingered the bejeweled cell phone inside her coat pocket and fidgeted in place. She desperately wanted to run out and call Bette right now. Something really didn’t feel right about her girlfriend’s father dropping by for a surprise visit.

     

    “Well, sit down.” Ken sat down on the couch opposite Melvin and tugged on his daughter’s cold hand for her to join him. Tina reluctantly obeyed as she silently sat down beside her father. “What brings you here, Mr. Porter?” Ken beamed as he spoke to the man leering at them from across the coffee table. True to his kind and unassuming nature, Ken dismissed the icy demeanor of their guest as a product of a bad day at work. He smiled, he could relate to that. This guy raised a good girl like Bette, so he must be a good guy too.. he falsely assumed.

     

    “I’ll go straight to the point.” Melvin scoffed as he eyed the apartment in disgust. He wanted to get down to business and settle things quickly so he could leave this small and filthy excuse for a house. He snapped his finger and one of his bodyguards walked over to them and placed a leather briefcase on top of the coffee table. With a nod of his head, he gave the guy the go-signal to open the case and show its contents to the two Kennards.

     

    “Wow..” Ken was barely able to contain his surprise as he eyed the hundred dollar bills inside the case in awe. He had never seen something like it up close.. it was just like those scenes in action movies where huge sums of money were illegally exchanged to free kidnapped people or something.

     

    “Two million dollars.” Melvin pointed to the money and grinned at the mixture of shock and confusion on Ken’s face. “That’s more than enough for the two of you to live comfortably.” He smirked arrogantly.

     

    “What do you mean?” Ken frowned as Tina balled her fists beside him. Her father might be clueless, but she sure as hell knew what Melvin Porter was doing.

    3. Big jerk does not even begin to describe Porter Sr. bet he’s gonna try and get Tina expelled from school or Bette moved out of her class again…Hope Bette takes a major stand! PPS:)

    5. Loved what Bette did to get Alice & Shane back for spying.. Man, Bette’s dad is gonna make their lives hell-Probably get Tina kicked out of school & her dad loose his jobs!!!

    6. Melvin is about as classless as they come; he proves money can’t buy you just anything in the long run. I have a bad feeling that Bette’s little have Tina fail a test ploy is going to bite Tina by giving the headmistress a reason to expel her when it is demanded by Melvin. I hope F4 crew has a good plan!

    7. B&T is so funny and sweet, love them. Melvin is such a jerk, don’t like him, glad Tina’s dad is stan up to him, love Tina’s dad. Please post more, thanks!

    8. I haven’t been able to comment as much, so I just wanted to say that I’ve loved your past few posts–they were so sweet and funny! So, I hate Bette’s dad, love Tina’s dad and love what Mr. Kennard did to Mr. Porter. I fear what Melvin’s wrath could do to Tina and her dad, but I have faith in Bette and F4 and ASS (haha) to keep them safe. Oh, and I think you should set up some type of timer thing so that a story is posted every two hours or so–that’d be great so if you could start working on that I’d appreciate it! :)

    10. I’m surprised Ken didn’t deck Melvin instead of just pouring coffee over him. Thank goodness Bette’s friends are looking out for her and Tina, cos this could get nasty… thanks for the chapter!
