"I’m.." Bette started as she observed Tina’s hands shaking on her lap. "I’m blaming you for this." She stated as she narrowed her eyes at Tina.

"What?!" Tina shouted incredulously. They were hanging five floors up in the air and all Porter could think about was where to put the blame? "You think I planned for this to happen?" She asked angrily through gritted teeth. "Fuck you Porter! If I’m gonna die today, my greatest regret is that I have to share my last breath on earth with you!" She slammed her fist hard on the floor, causing the elevator to jerk a little. Tina breathed deeply as she tried to placate herself, she was really fuming mad. She turned to look at Bette again and frowned even further as she saw the brunette looking back at her with a curious expression on her face.

"Did it work?" Bette quietly asked as Tina glared at her.

"Did what work?" Tina shouted, her eyes turning into little slits.

"You’re not scared anymore?" Bette slowly whispered. She was worried when she saw how afraid the blonde was a while ago, so she said something that she knew would surely make Tina angry. She felt that the blonde knew how to handle anger better than fear. And so she tried to replace it with just that. She didn’t opt for humor, she felt that making jokes about their situation would only make Tina more nervous in the long run.

Tina furrowed her brows as she regarded the brunette beside her. Scared? Not anymore, she screamed inside her head, and it’s all thanks to you. "I have no time to be scared when I have someone as infuriating as you beside me." She answered angrily.

"Good." Bette smiled genuinely, earning a weird and utterly confused look from Tina. "I also prefer anger to fear.." She said as she dug inside her purse and fished out a piece of candy from inside. "Want one?" She offered it to the blonde.

"No thanks." Tina answered as she continued to stare at Bette, studying her closely. The brunette was now unwrapping the piece of candy and popping it inside her mouth. Did Porter just drive her mad on purpose? She asked herself in confusion. Why would she do that? She scratched her head in thought. Something about anger being better than fear.. Tina furrowed her brows. She placed a hand over her chest to feel her heartbeat. It was starting to normalize again. And she really didn’t feel scared anymore.. it was like the anger that she felt a while ago drove away the thoughts of fear inside her head. And for that.. she felt a little better. She gazed at Bette again as understanding finally seeped inside her brain. The anger that she was feeling also began to dissipate. "Hey Porter.." She nudged the brunette gently.
