    “Oh my God, what have you done, Alice? What have you done?” Professor Kroll got off the chair and began pacing in front of them. “The implications of time travel are still unknown and could be so serious as to change the future drastically, with disastrous consequences.” “I know but…” Alice didn’t finish. The professor

    “Oh my God, what have you done, Alice? What have you done?” Professor Kroll got off the chair and began pacing in front of them. “The implications of time travel are still unknown and could be so serious as to change the future drastically, with disastrous consequences.”

    “I know but…” Alice didn’t finish. The professor gave her a look that was pretty clear. He hadn’t finished yet and she had to listen. Alice swallowed nervously and nodded in agreement.

    “Time travel is such a unexplored phenomenon that it cannot be trifled with. You have to collect all the data, you have to do scientific experiments, you have to study the past occurrences.” The professor paused and took a deep breath before continuing, “At the very least you have to have a degree in science or physics. Do you have a degree, Alice?”

    “No, I don’t.”

    “Exactly. So what possessed you to interfere with my scientific research?”

    “It was an accident,” Alice replied. “I was curious and…and…I just jumped.”

    Professor Kroll paused in front of the board and took off his glasses, wiping them absentmindedly with his tie. “I have to adjust the equation based on this information because it will only work with the correct data.”

    “Do you want to know what happened?” Alice was surprised that the professor wasn’t even a little bit curious about her time travel adventure.

    The professor put his glasses back on and turned back to the board. “Yes, I am curious of course, but I can’t get distracted now. I have to figure out if there are any dramatic consequences to your misguided action. I have to concentrate on adjusting the formula.”

    “Yes but…” the professor put his hand up, stopping Alice from saying anything else.

    He began studying the board again and the silence ensued. Alice and Tina looked at each other and sighed in unison. It was going to be a long night. They sat down, prepared to wait as long as it takes because they needed answers. Tina was biting her lip nervously as the professor started to erase some numbers and replacing them with the new ones. Alice began tapping her fingers on the table, which made Professor Kroll to turn around furiously.
    “I’m sorry,” Alice whispered, shoving her hands in the pockets of her jeans.

    3. Omg everyone’s coming back to write again I see. I have you on my list of authors to read I haven’t been able to read all your chapters yet but man I so wished I read them already as I am dying to reading this post it seems so intriguing. Yes you`re back iv missed this story so much please don’t leave it to long for the next chapter loved it and so pleased Katie came through the birth it so simple those times if only they new to wash you hands and sterilise the medical tools just how many mothers and babies could have been saved pps.

    7. When I saw this post I went back to Chapter 1 and have now read the whole story to date. I have thoroughly enjoyed such a different concept written with familiar characters with humour and drama.
