“No.” She sounded dejected. “No. Okay.” She hung up the phone and looked at Dana. “I know this is the last place you wanna be, but it looks like you’re stuck with me for the time being.”
“I don’t mind being with you. I don’t mind not being able to get out.” Dana stared at her shyly. “I don’t mind at all.”
* * * * *
8:30pm
“What should we do, Theresa?”
“I don’t know. I’ve reached out to her. I gave her a letter when she was at Tina and Bette’s house. I found it floatin’ in their pool.”
“If she won’t listen to you, what makes you think she’ll listen to me?”
“She cares for you. Henry, I don’t normally pry into my children’s business like this, but I need to know the truth–you’re not usin’ her just for sex, are you?”
“No, no way. I care for Steph, too. I’m really in shock about this.”
“She never gave you any indication?” Theresa looked into his eyes.
“None. I’m sitting here trying to figure this all out.” He was seated on a stone bench with his legs spread far, his forearms resting on his upper legs and his fingers entwined in front of him. “You know I was thinking about psychiatry when I first went to med school. I knew I wanted to get in people’s heads help them out of trouble. I ended up in neurology and cranial neuropathology. There are things that Stephanie has done that give me pause. You said she made this confession in court yesterday morning?”
“Yes.”
“She came to the Center and never even hinted at that.” Henry thought about Stephanie’s actions how she was eager to make love with him right in his office; how she didn’t want to discuss the court proceedings; how she had been rude and inappropriate with her mother; and how spiteful she had been with Tina and angry with Bette. It started to make sense—resentment over others’ happiness, keeping people at arms’ length to maintain her secret. He wanted to help her. He had fallen for Stephanie quickly and now he saw why. He had his own relationship pattern to contend with. He was in the right career because Henry certainly had a savior complex. He liked to solve everyone’s problems, give his patients a new start, comfort family members of his patients. In his personal life, his wife had constantly ridiculed him for being so sensitive and not giving her space to think. He gave so much of himself to her that she had lost interest in him. He was drawn to people suffering even if he didn’t know they suffered. There was something in Stephanie that he must have sensed. She needed him. “We’ll help her. You can’t get through to her. I’ve seen that before. I won’t tell her I know, but I’ll get her to talk and we’ll get her and all of you help for this. It’s going to be a family thing. Stephanie can’t do it on her own. There might come a time when she’ll want to confront her father and it’s hard to say whether she’ll want you around for that or not.”

I’m really pleased to see a new chapter so soon. Excellent plan by Shane and Carmen to get Al and Dana back together. I have a good feeling that it’ll work. Dylan and Hels, what can I say? They’re hot. I dunno how they’re going to get rid of Danny completely, but I’d think besting him would be easy, because he’s a complete idiot. Can’t the Peabody billions just hire a couple of thugs to muscle his sorry behind out of LA? Bette and Tina: Eureka! I think Porter’s got it! I cannot *wait* for Nicastro, Colley, Marcos and any other hatahs to get put in their place. And last but not least, you actually made me like Henry. Maybe it’s Christmas cheer, maybe it’s that you gave him a heart. Either way, I’m very glad you posted, great chapter, and dare I ask that you post again soon? Why yes. Yes, I do. Shane covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing. When she was six or seven, she thought that the words lavatory and laboratory were the same words. Her father had caught her with a glass Pyrex dish and a steak knife in the bathroom on her knees, pulling her poop out of the toilet to begin some experiments in her laboratory. She recalled that her dad threw away the baking dish. – LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicastro has got to GO! At least Bette got the ok from Henry to see Tina and that Bette is working on a plan. Helena and Dylan was freakin’ HOT!!!!!!!

The day seemed to end too perfect for B&T what drama do you have planned next? I just want Tina to get better and get up out of that hospital real soon. Stephanie is going to get the help she needs in jail if she keep taking that man’s money. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.
