“No. I think she likes champagne.”
Helena nodded. She looked at the magazine on the table. “Blimey!”
“What?”
“What the hell is this about?” She handed Dylan a catalog, not a magazine.
Dylan opened it. “Uh…whose is this?”
“I-I don’t know. ‘Tisn’t mine.”
Dylan flipped through the pages. “Shee-at. Uh…this is hella out there.”
“Let’s see.” Helena had only looked at the first few pages of the catalog. Now she wanted to see the entire spread.
“I don’t think so. I don’t want you getting any ideas. Do you think this belongs to Bette and Tina?”
“No, Tina’s quite vanilla. Definitely not.” Helena glanced around at the other people there. Was it Kit and Angus’ magazine; the other straight couple—Stephanie and Henry, could Bette and Tina be into something that Helena knew nothing about? Not Dana and Alice. Well, maybe Alice, but not Dana. But, it’s always the ones you least expect. Dana. It must be Dana’s catalog.
Dylan began to read the subject headings aloud, “Strap-ons and harnesses.” She turned the page, “Hoods and blindfolds, gags and muzzles, whips and paddles, fetish wear, masks.” Dylan’s face had gone from beige to pink, but she continued to read, “Cuffs and collars, pumps and extensions, fuck machines…”
“What’s a fuck machine?”
Dylan looked up from the catalog and grinned at Helena. “Sometimes you are.”
“Ah, aren’t you the clever one?” Helena’s expression was liquid and loving.
Carmen walked back to the area where Dylan and Helena sat. “Hey, you guys took my seat.”
“You were sitting here?” Dylan asked.
“Yeah-ah. That’s okay, though.” Carmen giggled for no good reason. “I’m hungry. Munchies.”
“Is this your catalog?” Helena’s eyes moved up and down Carmen’s body seeing her in a completely different light.
“Aw hell no. I brought it over here for laughs. Don’t even try and put that on me.”
“Whose is it?”
“One word: Schecter.” Carmen shook her head.
“Jenny Schecter? She seems so…”
“That girl is a freak and a half. Don’t be fooled by those doe eyes. Freak… and a half.”
“It’s pretty wild,” Dylan agreed.
“Yeah, but did you see the bed restraints? That’s kinda…I don’t know…somethin’, you know?”
Dylan nodded and winked at Helena. Helena squeezed her thighs together. That wink made her wet. Maybe she was a fuck machine.

My favourite couple have obviously been dana and alice, and you’ve written them and their story just perfectly, how it should have been, for me anyway. Portia, thank you so much for this epic love story. I’m happy that all of the characters are happy and content. The loop holes that the show had created, you have thoroughly patched. That for me is remarkable. Jenny’s death in season 5 and her magazine being thrown in the pool – what can I say, your attention to detail is a gold standard in fanfic. Kudos to you and also Wendy for creating this wonderful story.

I read this chapter as slowly as I could so that I could savor every word of it. It was worth me taking the time, although I was fully aware that each time I clicked “Next page” I was that much closer to the finish. This was a fantastic end to such a richly layered story. Everyone got their ending, and each and every one of them earned it… the struggles each couple/family had to overcome to get to their happiness made it all the more believable. You didn’t cheat, Portia, not the readers, not the story. This has been such an absolute treat to read, through all the highs and lows, and I’ve loved every single word of it. (And kudos for not forgetting Jenny this chapter! heh) Thank you, Portia, for writing this story and taking us on the journey with you. Take care, and I hope we see another story from you soon.

well after about a month and a half im finally finish with your story and as I wrote you before I truly believe you are a gift to writing and taking readers along for the experience. I had to stop several times for work or sleep but it was well worth the time. I prolonged finishing the last chapter didn’t want t see it end, but like the L word, like tibette chemistry, all good things but come to end….Bravo!! my friend I hope to see a book with your name on it forreal..til next story………
