    Bette, Tina, Dana, Alice, Shane, Carmen, Helena, Dylan, Kit, Angus, Peggy, and Marilyn discover what John Lennon said in the song, “Beautiful Boy” is absolutely true: “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.”

     

    Carmen’s head tossed left and right.  She snarled and growled.  She handled her breast roughly, moving from one, then across to the other, and back.  She grunted.

     

    “Thinking about me fucking you?”

     

    Carmen shook her head as her body began to quiver.

     

    “No?  What are you thinking?”

     

    Her voice was shaky as she choked out, “How-how much…I love you,” she said as the orgasm slammed through her body.

     

    Shane stared for a moment, mesmerized by the look on Carmen’s face as Carmen brought herself to her undoing.  It was the last words that brought Shane to hers.  She pushed Carmen’s hand away from her center and moved around, planting her face at the apex of her thighs.  “God, baby.”

    Tina was in the house saying farewell to the Peabodys and their women, along with Dana and Alice who had angled their way into a shared limo ride home.

     

    Over the course of the late afternoon and early evening, the sound of honking horns had been a constant in the neighborhood.  When Dylan, Helena, Peggy, and Marilyn said their goodbyes a few minutes later, the reason for the incessant horn blowing became apparent.  Boden’s limo had remained in the middle of the narrow street where he had double-parked hours earlier.  

    Now, the chauffeur was standing at the side of the car awaiting his passengers.  Marilyn and Peggy walked down the steps to the limousine, followed by Alice and Dana.

     

    Tina stood at the door with Helena and Dylan.

     

    “Please think about Helena’s offer,” Dylan said.  “You and I worked so well together on my film.  I know we can do it again.  The three of us would be unstoppable.  A true force.  And I want to thrown my hat in…I’d love to direct Twisted Forest, but I realize that’s your decision.”

     

    “You guys are making me an offer that’s hard to refuse.  To know I can get this film made….”

     

    “And a career making exactly what you want to make,” Helena threw in her two cents.

     

    “I’ll let you know,” Tina said to be polite.  She knew that she’d turn them down.  Twisted Forest would get made somehow, someday, but she wasn’t going to leave her family or force a move strictly to benefit her career.  She and Bette had both learned after some painful times that family is priority one.

That for me is remarkable. Jenny’s death in season 5 and her magazine being thrown in the pool – what can I say, your attention to detail is a gold standard in fanfic.     13. I read this chapter as slowly as I could so that I could savor every word of it. It was worth me taking the time, although I was fully aware that each time I clicked “Next page” I was that much closer to the finish. This was a fantastic end to such a richly layered story. Everyone got their ending, and each and every one of them earned it… the struggles each couple/family had to overcome to get to their happiness made it all the more believable. You didn’t cheat, Portia, not the readers, not the story. This has been such an absolute treat to read, through all the highs and lows, and I’ve loved every single word of it. (And kudos for not forgetting Jenny this chapter! heh) Thank you, Portia, for writing this story and taking us on the journey with you. Take care, and I hope we see another story from you soon.

    18. well after about a month and a half im finally finish with your story and as I wrote you before I truly believe you are a gift to writing and taking readers along for the experience. I had to stop several times for work or sleep but it was well worth the time. I prolonged finishing the last chapter didn’t want t see it end, but like the L word, like tibette chemistry, all good things but come to end….Bravo!! my friend I hope to see a book with your name on it forreal..til next story………

You did an absolutely remarkable job with this. The story telling, the storyline, the interweaving of the characters, seasons, cannon and AU was beyond incredible.
