Le Bandwagon – 6.12
“What? This, this is nothing, imagine swinging upside down on a bridge with the love of your life’s life hanging in the balance, now that is stress,” smiled Jo. Her blue eyes wandered to where the first guard was. “So, do you think a hot blooded Italian man is going to be bothered by two women walking hand in hand?” asked Jo.
“No, not if he has a gun,” laughed Bette nervously.
“So, I haven’t done this in a long time,” said Jo.
“What?” asked Bette, “Go undercover?”
Jo smile brightly, turning her head, seeing Carmen and Helena skittering to where the second guard was, “No, kissed a stranger.”
“Kiss?” asked Bette with wide eyes, just as Jo pushed her seductively against the looming tree. The tomboy’s mouth found Bette’s and instantly they heard the guard coming towards them.
Bette was overcome with desire, her tongue instantly exploring Jo’s open mouth. The guard was yelling in Italian, sliding his gun out from his waistband. Jo pulled away, her eyes flashing with mischief as she turned to him. She began to speak in Italian, her hands up, smiling widely.
Bette’s hand went to her mouth, wiping away the remnants of the kiss, not wanting to, but having to; the guilt that clung to the taste was almost too much for her to bear. Almost.
The guard wasn’t listening to Jo and when he came close enough Jo moved into action. Her body was like liquid, flowing to the left as she turned, using the back of her hand to slam hard into the man’s throat. He instantly dropped the gun, both hand to his throat, eyes bulging. He dropped to his knees – coughing – Jo grabbed the gun and slammed him in the back of the head, rendering him unconscious. “Well, so much for security here,” she said, slipping the gun into her waist band.
“Oh my god, you move like….”
“What?” asked Jo with another smile as if doing this was an everyday occurrence.
Bette swallowed, “You just move fast.”
“Help me pull him back to the shadows,” said Jo, grabbing one of the man’s arms while Bette did the same. They dragged him back to the house, hiding him in the many shadowy corners. “He’s really gonna have to scrub to get those grass stains out,” quipped Jo.

I remember this story from way back, but, you have certainly pulled it in another direction in this version. Cracked me up that Helena wore a blue sundress. Bette and Tina are certainly being tempted. Love Alice — too funny! I am glad they got Jenny, but, am concerned about the gunshot. I am very relieved to hear you were not too badly impacted by the flooding. It sounds quite scary. I hope you recover quickly from your illness. Thanks for another great chapter!!

OH JR!!!! YOU ARE BAD!!!! Leaving us hanging there like that!!!! I wonder so bad who died. I know you are not feeling well, so I will let it slide this time. Otherwise you would be in big trouble. Post when you can.

Oh great! Now we have to wait another whole week to see who got shot! Argggh…I hate writers and their cliffies. I hope you’re feeling better soon. I’m from Toronto and have heard about the river and the flooding. I’m just glad that you’re safe. You are right, property can be replaced, but The JadedRose cannot!
ROFLMAO!!!! Damn woman your stuff will always crack me up and leave me on the edge waiting for me. Talk about DYKE DRAMA!!! Did anyone bring the Turkish Oil? ;-) Looked the pics and had sent you an email. Be careful, and get plenty of rest. You’re probably right that you caught something because of everything getting stirred up. Thanks Ro!
This story definitely keeps me on my toes. I know Bette and Tina never can do things the easy way, so I am not giving up. I hope that Dana and Carmen are ok. You big TEASE!!!
