“I love you too,” said Bette softly. She snapped the cell phone closed and waved it at the nurse, who turned around in a huff. “Has anyone seen a doctor roaming around? Or Sabrina?”
“No,” whispered Helena in her sexy accent; her arms wrapped around her upper body, shivering hard. “I’ll endeavor to find a doctor, or at least a nurse that can update us. Are you all right?” Helena asked Alice.
“I’m fine,” said Alice. She too was shaking so hard that she was bouncing on the hard green plastic chairs. “I’m not fine, that bitch shot her! Shot! What the hell were we thinking? We’re not super fucking heroes! We don’t have psychic powers or can’t die, we’re fucking human, what the fuck were we thinking? That bitch, sorry Marina, is going to pay.”
“She’ll be taken care of,” said Jo softly from the back of the room. “My ex-partner, Emma is taking care of her right now. She won’t see the light of day for a long time.”
“There was so much blood,” said Shane softly. “I didn’t know what to do….”
“None of us did, thank god for Sabrina,” said Lara. “I want to know if Dana is okay, that’s all I want right now. I’ve never seen anything like that before.”
“All this for me,” whispered Jenny. “I’m not worth Dana’s life. I mean, she can’t die, not now, when her life is finally getting on track with her tennis…”
“Ma belle, this is my sister’s fault,” said Marina, hugging and kissing Jenny lightly. “Had she not tried to strong arm her position, we wouldn’t have had to go liberate you.”
“She’s going to be fine,” said Alice getting up and pacing the room. “She isn’t going to die, she’s going to be fine –” Alice looked around the room, counting off to see who was there and who wasn’t. “Where is Mark?”

Mark was in his garage apartment, frantically cueing up the video tape, then loading it onto his computer. It took less than an hour, and Mark had a buyer for the footage of Dana being wheeled out of the house. He blotted out Sabrina’s face, and that of the EMT’s. If it got out that Sabrina as at the house, her career would be over.

You have my Sam in this one also. It something about her that makes my heart beat a webit,heck a hell’ve lot faster.Enough of Sam Never Bette is not a maid, if Tina wants a babysitter and a maid hire one. she will lose Bette if she keeps on. With Dane willpower,never know what will happen Alice and Lara, I could see the them consoling each other but not sex. Bette was trying to help a friend or friend and she gets a bad a&& chewing from Tina. thanks bvh
JR, yes it was 2 weeks and now you say we alternate between the 2 stories, so 2 weeks wait for each one. Damn it’s a ploy to get us to reread the previous chapter before the new one. Fabulous update….’nuff said!
So much available to comment on…I am so bummed that Dana got shot, but hope that she takes Sam’s advice and goes after her life with gusto no matter what. Looks like both Tina and Bette need to put some serious work into their relationship. As usual, BRAVO!
Great update JR!!! Loved the Australia reference. I never went to watch the Tennis….. TOO HOT!!!! Poor Dana. She is going to be miserable for quite some time, I am sure. SHane marrying!!! WOW. I hope she goes through with it. Post soon.
As a long-term ER fan, I love the doctors who were on-call. ARGH! I was hoping it wouldn’t be Dana. And she is possibly paralyzed? Mark is an enormous prick. I can’t believe he would even think of selling the footage. There has to be a middle point for Bette between housewife and gunplay. Alice and Lara? Argh. On one hand I understand it, but, that is going to crush Dana when she finds out. Hopefully some of what Sam said to Dana sinks in. Thanks for another great chapter!!
Wow there was A LOT going on here. First, Tina is truly well and pissed off by Bette’s involvement isn’t she? I still felt bad for Bette. She has a lot to think about right now. As for Shane asking Carmen to marry her, WOW! That was obviously done in the heat of the moment and out of emotion. Mark, well he was honorable and did the right thing. Let’s hope this begins a road to recovery with his sister. Great stuff Ro! MORE!
