Life: Altered 03.12 ~*~ Breathe In, Breathe Out

“No.”  Dana said softly and continued, “You are coming home with
me, for a while at least.
    Tina
is going to be home in a week and we
have a teaching schedule planned out for you, we are going to get you back up
    on your feet
    Shane
.”  Dana said and Shane held back the tears, there was no way
    she could have
    Dana
or anyone else take care of her.

“Dana, I don’t know what to say, but I can’t
    man….”
    Shane
began and Dana put a hand on her arm, Shane stopped, and she tore at the patches
over her eyes.  She wasn’t totally blind,
she could see bright spots every once in a while, but it was more darkness than
    any light.  She turned to
    Dana
, knowing that she couldn’t see, Dana wondered why she’d taken the patches
    off.

“Say yes.”  Dana prompted and Shane smiled, wiping away a tear and Dana kissed her cheek, and holding her
    clumsily and
    Shane
    nodded.

                “Okay.  Yes.”

“We need to talk.”  Bette said and Candace blinked giving her a funny look.  It was in the middle of the afternoon, and it
    was
    Candace
‘s day off, she’d been at home, relaxing
with a good book on the small back patio.

“Um, ok.”  Candace said waving her into the room and
Bette walked in, trying to figure out what to say.  There were so many things she wanted to say to
Candace, but none of them were the right things, the things she had to say.  Bette had a wife and she needed to focus on
that and not on her own wants and needs.

                “We.  This thing.  We.  I
have to stop.  I’m getting lost in you
and I’m married.  I’m finding myself
forgetting that Tina is coming home in a few days, and that I can’t be with you
when I want to be with you.  I forget
about work, I want to be with you, so that you can point out things that I’d
never have thought of before.”  Bette
said, as if the realization had just come to her.  “You make me look at things in a different
light and you remind me that my world isn’t black and white.”

“I know.”  Candace said and she shrugged, she’d felt this
coming on in the last week, Bette had been trying to push her away, but then
    she’d drawn closer.

    1. Tina w/ Cassandra, Bette w/ Candace excellent pairings. Tina & Bette seem to function better w/ other people. I may be one of the few people who liked the character of Candace. I would like to see where you take this couple. Poor Shane hope she sends Steve’s ass to jail. Guess Cherie hasn’t visited (if she’s still alive), not surprised she was all about self.

    2. OH what a nice way to wipe the day out of my mind, I see I have a lot of JM reading to catch up on. OK and bette smells like wood LMAO!!! that was fucking hilarious. Alrighty off to read your other story.

    3. I feel so sad about Shane!!! She could talk to Bette and showed her that she made a big mistake!! I’d like Tina does not cheat Bette before she find out her infidelity. And I still want Bette feels a lot of guilty and pain!!!Nice post!!!
