That was a song she and Quin had
played two months ago, right before Christmas, at a small club called
Nemesis. The beat of the song ripped
into a new solo, not the one that Quin had done something new the song had been
cleaned up too. What the *****? Daisy thought, walking down off the steps and
moving to the crowd.
“All I’m
asking for – Is one more chance – To show you I was wrong – Don’t give up on us
so easily – Can’t you see this
separation is killing me – I ask for just one more chance – To be with you like
you want me to be – I swear I’ll never let you down – Just one more chance…“ Daisy heard her own voice rise and fall, and
one of the students was saying how it sounded familiar and Daisy looked down
sheepishly. She was use to bearing her
soul to the student body, but that was what this song was about, her begging
for another chance. Rosita had said to
write her a song, and she’d done just that.
Biting her lip and trying to move through the crowd. It was knit tight around the car that was
pounding out the song.
“I
understand the pain – I put you through – All the suffering you’ve dealt with –
All at the hands of your lover – I can’t
ignore the pain – In my soul at the pain I’ve caused you – Let me make it all
up to you – One baby step at a time – All I’m asking for – Is one more chance –
To show you I was wrong – Don’t give up
on us so easily – Can’t you see this separation is killing me – I ask for just
one more chance – To be with you like you want me to be – I swear I’ll never
let you down – Just one more chance...” Daisy was in a frenzy, was this Quin’s way of
a joke? She’d promised that they’d play
the song once, it was written for Rosita, and it had torn her heart out to play
it. Quin had insisted, telling her it
was the best way to finally get over the past.
She’d been right, afterwards she’d felt better, but the tears she cried
every night for Ro still stung as harshly as before.

Ok, that was great! Hats off to you!! I never guessed that Cherie was the culprit and Tonya as Dana’s manager is somehow fitting here. As was stated before, we so appreciate the frequency of the updates and hope you will be able to continue with the Gathering. Now for the carrot that you dangled in front of all Tibetters: The song was good for the scene, but even more fitting for B&T. Yeah, B&C and T&C are matched “OK” (rolling my eyes), but where is the drama and excitement in that…I am not exactly sure where you are going next, but I am here for the ride. JKDWYD
Oh where do I begin? Words cannot describe how I feel right now. I’m sad and happy at the same time. Happy because everybody is happy…and sad because the story has ended. I absolutely loved it, from beginning till the very end. I’ve read good fan fiction before, but never before have I read anything as brilliant as this fic. It’s destinctive, cause it’s not all about our L word girls. You’ve introduced so many new characters that I’ve grown to love. You’ve created relationships that at first sight seemed weird but turned them into relationships that we all dream off. Thank you for giving us the honor of reading your work. Excellent!!!!! I have to say that I was away for a few days and when I came back I had alot of catching up to do. I wanted to comment a few times, but there were already like 5 or 6 more chapters posted. Anyway, I was cracking up and found it very interesting when you wrote about Jenny’s new job @ HBO for a lesbian show, because the other show on another network was floundering in its 3rd season. I guess I just found it funny because there is so much hype for season 3. Anyway, loved your story and I really fell in love with all the new characters and the new relationships. Thanks Again!! WOW! I’m speechless. So Happy w/ the way you ended your story, but sad to know these particular characters story will not con’t. Early morning, late evenings always checking for your fic reading it through tired eyes after & before work I was definitely hooked. Looking forward to your future fics & the Jaded Wind series.
