    A Heart to Heart, and A Fight

    "4, 458." Jess said.

    "See. You are making a difference." Shannon said.

    "I still don’t know. Everything is just starting to die down." Jess said as they reached the water.

    "Yeah. Now is probably the perfect time. You need to know whatever you decide I will stand by you. Your family and that’s the most important thing." Shannon said.

    "It’s beautiful." Jess said.

    "Yeah it is. Come on let’s get out there." Shannon said. She knew that Jess changing the subject meant that she had all the advice she could take for awhile. She knew her sister need to work it out and then she would come back for more.

    Jess and Shannon surfed for hours. It was the one thing that they had together. It was just them. It was different from Softball where they had 7 other girls on the field with them at a time. Here in the ocean there was no one else. Sure there were other surfers out there but it was still different.

    They sat off the on the sand bar watching some other surfers.

    "Are you and Cat going to the party tonight?" Shannon asked.

    "I doubt it. Are you and Hillary?" Jess answered.

    "No we are working." Shannon said.

    "Is there something special going on at the Hut tonight?" Jess asked.

    "There’s a live band, and She’s opening the half pipe tonight. You and Cat should come." Shannon said.

    "Maybe? I’ll ask her. She probably wants to go to Mom’s party." Jess said.

    "Why?" Shannon asked.

    "Cause she thinks I need to talk to them about this thing." Jess said.

    "I know it’s not what you want to hear, but she might be right." Shannon said.

    "Maybe?" Jess said.

    "Ah. You are listening to reason." Shannon said. She was teasing her little sister.

    "I always listen, sis. Now whether I do what they suggest is another thing." Jess said.

    "Why don’t you like all this publicity?" Shannon asked.

    "I don’t really know. It feels weird to have people always watching and judging you, even people you don’t know." Jess said.

    "But won’t they do that any way?" Shannon said.

    4. Hold up, wait a minute. Who was Teddy telling to “Let me go, he broke my Gameboy” ? Surly not Bette or Tina for that much. I think he had better “Check his self, before he wreck hisself.” I did laugh at the fight though. I am going to love the day that they are fighting and an outsider(maybe at school or on the playground) tries to jump in and they both turn on them. LOL, now that would be funny and I have seen it many a time with my brothers. It’s GREAT to see Jess and Shannon sharing some time together, sister to sister :o)

    5. After raising 4 boys that did fight,but no one else dare to jump on one of them then they had the whole gang to fight. Theydidnt fight much They knew that they had to hug and kiss each other if they did. they hated that Jesse is growing up so fast, yet she still needs someone to talk to. thanks

    6. I laughed at the fight too…it was a nervous laugh because I thought Jess would be fighting with Cat or Shannon…glad that was not the case. Please post soon.

    9. the figth was cute and just started it, i won’t like to see Bette not even Tina mad at the boys, they will be put in the corner! I like it so much that Jess and Shanoon were available to talk and enjoyed sometime together they need this too.
