    Bette comes home.

    "What do you mean?" Jess asked moving to get up.

    "You never say what you are thinking about like you did when you were little. I have seen the home movies you used to be a little spitfire. what happened to her?" Shannon said.

    "She’s still here. Just because I don’t say it doesn’t mean I don’t think those same things." Jess said smiling.

    "Well let’s here some of it." Shannon said.

    "Okay." Jess said picking Angelica up.

    They went downstairs.

    "There are my girls." Bette said walking towards them with a huge smile on her face. The rest of the gang watched in a amazement. They had never noticed how much the three girls looked not only like each other but like Bette. Jess was the spitting image of Bette.

    Bette hugged Jess and looked her like she hadn’t looked at her for years.

    "What are you looking at me like that for?" Jess said.

    "Because you are back. I can see it in your eyes." Bette said.

    "Let the games begin." Alice said.

    "And pre tell is that supposed to mean?" Jess said.

    "Wait a minute which Jess is back?" Alice asked.

    "The one who is going to tell all of you secrets if you don’t leave me alone. Miss sing horrible 80’s songs in your sleep." Jess snapped back.

    "Uh oh don’t go there missy. We got the original Jess back." Alice said putting her arm around Jess.

    "Wait what does that mean?" Jenny asked because she was the newest to the gang.

    "When Jess was little she quite the little…….." Marina said.

    "Pain." Alice said finishing her sentence.

    "Hey. I wasn’t a pain was I Mom?" Jess said. Bette paused and laughed.

    "No baby your weren’t a pain just a little busy body I guess." She said.

    "I can’t help you guys couldn’t help but tell each other every thing and any thing when I was around." Jess said.

    "With that said I am going to change the subject who wants some of my famous cookies." Kit said.

    "Me. Me." All the kids said including Jess and Shannon.

    1. I so love this story. I have been looking for another chapter tonight,thanks for taking the time to post. It is good to see that Bette made it back home and Jess is on the way to being able to deal with her problems.

    2. thanks for posting! I’ve been checking all day for it!! Glad jess is opening up. also can’t wait for more B/T interaction… they have lots to talk about…which is good cause I can’t imagine that they are going to be alone in their bed for awhile!! I love those boys!!!

    3. Yes Bette is back and so is Jess. I have always felt that Jess was a little angry that she was sharing her mom with everybody else. First it was Tina, then the boys, then Jess found out that Shannon was her sister and lastly Angelica. All Jess ever wanted was her mother back and for it to be the way it use to be when it was just her and Bette. Thank you for this post and getting it out so quickly.

    5. Glad you posted this chapter tonight, i was getting a little antsy wondering what was going to happen next. Now we begin to understand Jess a little better, I had often wondered if this was what had been bothering her all the while. Now maybe things can get back to normal, well, as normal as they can be with this crew. Really happy for Tina and Jess, they would have been basket cases forever if Bette had not returned.I do so love this story and I know I keep saying this but it is true. You tell their story so well. Thank you.

    16. It’s GREAT to have both Bette and the TRUE Jess back again. B&T do have a lot to talk about, but I am sure that they just want to hold and and feel each others presence. But first there has to be the family night in their bed and later their time alone in their bed :o)
