"Wait Jess and Tina were fighting." Bette said.
"I thought I had some bad fights with my foster mom, but they were nothing compared to the ones they had. Jess never believed that you were dead. We rarely saw her after the memorial service except for when she was over here painting at all hours of the night. About two weeks after she and Angelica started sleeping in here after Tina would take her pill and go to bed. Angelica wouldn’t let Jess out her sight initially I believe that was because she is so much like. I think that is also the reason she and Tina were fighting so much. Every time someone looks at her they see you. Its not that you just look alike, you guys have the same mannerism and voice. Its freaky." Shane said.
"What were they fighting about?" Bette said. This was upsetting to her because she thought that Tina and Jess would never fight. They never had before.
"You name it. It was hard for Tina and everyone. Every time Jess walked in a room. They would for a second let themselves think that it was you. That is why when you walked into the auditorium today they just sat there. They had seen you so many times when it wasn’t you." Shane said.
"Was there anything specific that happened that I should know about?" Bette asked.
"Not really it was just a lot of little stuff. Tina on edge all the time. She would just let the little stuff piss her off. Jess just retreated to the shed her room or Laurie’s. I think after you see the shed you will know what to do next." Shane said.
"That explains why they have been so distant from each other. I’m not sure I want to see it but okay." Bette said.
Meanwhile…
Tina sat at her desk working on some neglected paper work. She kept glancing at the pictures on her desk. She looked at the picture of the boys with Mickey when she and Helena had taken the kids to Disney Land to try and get their minds off of Bette. There was picture of her and Shannon at her last softball game. Tina had flown out to see it. She left the kids with Kit and Angus. She picked up the picture of herself and Jess at the Beach at one of her first dates with Bette. Jess was so young and such a little Bette even then. She thought back on the past couple of months and how her relationship with her two younger daughters had become strained. She thought about the day that Jess showed her the invitation for the Michael Cohen Gallery Opening. Jess had been exceptionally well behaved for a week. She had done everything that she had asked of her with out giving her any lip. All Jess wanted was for her to go to this opening with her, so she wouldn’t have to go alone, and she didn’t even think about it she just flat out said no. She didn’t think about how much this meant to Jess and how much it hurt her when Tina had denied her the only thing that she asked for since Bette had left.

I am glad that you were able to post. Damn those phone lines and extension cords just don’t reach far enough into those woods. I can’t wait for the adult alone time. Jess is back and I hope that her and Tina can come to a point that they can be close again. This is a great chapter, thanks for posting.

So happy to see this chapter, know that whenever you get a chance to post we will be waiting. We love this story. Hopefully Tina dn Jess can get back to where they were before the crash. Everyone missed Bette terribly especially Tina and Jess. Now that Bette is home, maybe Tina and Bette can get that time alone to be with just each other. I see some major NC-17 chapter coming, hopefully the next one. Thanks so much for this story.
