By half-time the score was Central – 30 Oceanside – 34. Shane played an outstanding first half she had 17 points. Her other teammates however weren’t doing so well, a lot of their shots were going in then popping right out.

Then team went into the locker room for their usual half-time talk.

" Sorry Shane, the shots just aren’t falling today " Morgan said slightly disappointed

" Heyy don’t worry about it. Let’s just play good defense and try to get them back we can do this, now let’s go out there and whoop some ass ! "

That was the good thing about Shane she was a true team player she always knew how to lift her teams spirits up. The team continued talking strategy in the locker room for the remaining 5 minutes

Meanwhile, Central’s cheerleader’s prepared for the next half. The whole team stood on the sidelines, the side where Central would be shooting. Carmen and Jenny stood in the center of all of them.

Jenny looked over at Carmen before saying " I hope we win, Shane is so nervous. "

Carmen looked back at Jenny " I’m sure she’s fine Jen. " Carmen assured her

They continued talking, then Oceanside came out of their locker room. Carmen and Jenny saw from a distance Alex pull away from her team and come up from behind Marissa who was Oceanside’s head cheerleader and wrap her arms around her waist. From the look on Marissa’s face she was suprised, but then she smiled and turned around and kissed Alex in front of everyone.

Jenny wasn’t very fond of Alex but she thought it was really sweet of Alex to do that.

" OMG, how cute was that ? "

Carmen smiled staring at them. Then she thought that maybe if her and Shane ever went out that Shane would do something like that. She sighed dreamily still thinking.

After that Central appeared from the locker room everyone stood up and cheered. Shane ran out on the court and looked over at Jenny and Carmen, she smiled and waved, they waved back. Then Carmen and Jenny saw Marissa tell Alex " Good luck " and kissed her briefly before Alex pulled away and made her way over to her team.
