Love Revisited – Coming Home  Part 56

It was then that Faye Buckley looked up – her tear-filled eyes caught Kelly’s eyes.   Kelly saw Faye mouth, “I’m so sorry, so sorry.”   Kelly just lowered her eyes and wiped the tears.

Nancy saw the interaction and shook her head.   Nancy thought, Well, I think you’re little too late on the apology, Faye.  Two lives you brought pain and anquish into – well, three really, counting yourself.  And you might  want to hold off on your apologies a bit, and perhaps have the court officers bring over another bucket, because,

Ms.  IwasaLesbianNowIhate’em,  the show’s not over  yet.

Court reconvened and Kelly was ready to resume her testimony.

    “Go ahead, Ms. Richardson.”

“Okay, Kelly.  After you saw this writing on your car window and you took a picture of it, did you then see Faye Buckleyexcuse me, when you knew the defendant was her last name Buckley?”

    “No.”

“What was her last name at that time?”

    “Stanton.”

“All right.  Did you see the defendant again after this writing on your window?”

    “Yes.”

“When in reference to the writing on the window?”

“I’m pretty sure the writing was on a Thursday.  That weekend I was packing things up, getting ready for my move to Connecticut.  I had a full two weeks before I left, but I didn’t want to leave things until the last minute.”

“On Monday I ran out of tape and boxes, so I went out to pick up some.  I got back about an hour later.”   Kelly hesitated once again.

    “Go on, Kelly.”

“I walked into my apartmentsomeone grabbed me from behind.  I was so scared.”

“Did you know who it was at the time?”

“Not when I first was grabbed, I didn’t, no.”

“Did this person say anything to you?”

    “Yes.”

    “What was said, Kelly?”

    ” ‘ How can you”

“Excuse me, was it a male or female voice?”

    “Female.”

    “Did you recognize the voice?”

    “Yes.”

    “Whose voice was it, Kelly?”

    “Faye’s.”

    “Faye Stanton now Faye Buckley?”

    “Yes.”

Alice whispered to Shane, “Holy *****, Shane.  I cold write a *****’ novel here!”

    1. Whilst I’m hoping that Faye gets what she has coming to her I can’t help but feel for her especially after that last paragraph. They say love makes you do strange things and Kelly never writing to her whilst at Harvard clearly affected her deeply. She loved and lossed and was never able to heal from that. I feel sorry for her. She still loves Kelly b/c even with the threat of jail she refused to lie about how she felt and reacted about losing her one and only love to protect herself.

    2. “I’ve been in my own prison for all these years – the new one will just have a different address.”

What a powerful and acurate way to resume Faye’s sploiled and lost life… Well, even if what she done – especially to our Bette – is a totally unforgivable thing, I cannot help but feeling deeply sad in front of anybody’s total mess of life. Faye’s frightening hypocrisy took rooth in an especially devastating emotional event and, yes, you’re right, since she never was able to recover, she built her own prison, year after year – like brick after brick, lying to herself much more than lying to all others, denying everything she was, all the best of hers, to become a dangerous bigot full of hate.
You brang us a very deep understanding of this so realistic psychological case and I more than ever congratulate you for such an amazing, intense, unforgettable story.
      Thank you so much !!

    3. You…you…she nearly killed our Bette and for that she should spend years in a concrete prison – but you write so well of love lost and denied, that I actually feel sorry for F.B. – BUT NOT ENOUGH to see that she pays for the evil she inflicted on our girl. Fantastic chapter…why do I feel there’s still more to this story? Oh, yeah, HellBitch is still out there…go get her, rc! take us along for the rollercoaster ride, too!

    4. Clank. There goes the door to Faye’s cell. I’m really glad that Kelly had the courage to testify. She definitely clinched the case for Bette and Nancy. Incredible job, arc! The way you set up this whole thing was flawless!!

    5. Arc. you deserve not only to have a good weekend, but a good week after these last 2 chapters! It was a nice touch to have Nancy intoduce Kelly to Bette, although I was surprised that Bette did not introduce her to Tina. Maybe Bette will send her a thank you card with a family photo inclosed after the trail. It would have been great for Alice to use that “Back-up Bette” line during one of her rants. One does feel sorry for Faye because it is ovious that she never recovered from losing Kelly and still cares for her. But you reap what you soe, and Faye has sone some file and rank fruit in her day (Bette being the worst case serino, but she has also cast her poisionus vinume on may people in her time.). I would rather see Nancy with Shane rather than Alice. Alice is too lounie. Rather than comedy relief (Alice), Nancy needs that COOL BREEZE (Shane) at the end of a rough day.

    6. I am so overwhelmed by these last 3 chapters, I have no words to describe the feeling I have that Buckley has had her last hurrah. Never saw it coming that kelley was a twin to Bette, even with Bette & Tina’s reaction when she came into the Courtroom I did not think of the exact twin theory. Now, please, have Nancy nail Helena to the barn door for setting this all up for Buckley to go after Bette. You are one terrific writer and thanks for the twofer. Please have a great weekend.

    7. RC..thanks for the two-for Friday. OMG the drama. In a way, I feel sad for Faye (not that she shouldn’t be punished for what she did to Bette)because she really loved Kelly and turned it to hate. There is truly a fine line between love and hate — and Faye crossed it. Sad, but we have to live and be responsible with the consequences of our actions. Next head on the block — Hels. Have a great weekend…RC — it’s well deserved.

    8. Yes! You have one of the best stories on this site….thank you for sharing. Get Faye to the big house…hahaha and make sure Alice gets her some Nancy!

    9. wow…i liked that a back up for tina… we all should be so lucky… love this… another great chapter…and thanks for the two for friday…. and again give your partner a big kiss from all of us… please continue

    10. That was a powerful Chapter, Hope Bette gets to see her twin again. Faye doesn;t really care if she goes to jail or now. The life was sucked out of her a long time ago. Love is really a bitch. Thanks

    11. Thanks for the second post today. I also find myself feeling sorry for Faye…unrequited love can be a b…h. Now go get Helena, the evil witch of the west…I don’t think there is anything that will make me fill sorry for her sorry a..!
