Shane stood in the doorway watching her. She was going to ask her why she was home so early but Alice didn’t stick around long enough to converse.
Shane – Got a gig out of town?
Alice – Huh?
Shane – An assignment out of town?
Alice – Going to Chicago.
Shane – Oh……oh, wait a minute.. isn’t that where Dana went?
Alice – Yeah.
Shane – So she changed her mind… she wants you to go?
Alice – Nope.
Shane – What are you doing, Alice?
Alice – She won’t answer her calls. I’ve been trying all day.
Shane – Maybe she’s busy….. it happens, Al. Isn’t she going to be home tomorrow?
Alice – Not till late.
Shane – Didn’t she tell you that she didn’t want you to come with her?
Alice – That’s what I don’t get… why didn’t she?
Shane – I don’t know.
Alice – She didn’t even give me an answer.
Shane – So that means it’s ok to go?
Alice – She made it sound like I could go any other time except this trip. Dana offered no excuses and that’s just strange.
Shane – Can’t you just let it go?
Alice – I would if I could reach her.
Shane – You’re a bundle of nerves. What’s going on, Al? Don’t tell me it’s nothing.
Alice – Something doesn’t feel right. Dana said she’d leave her phone on, but she doesn’t answer. She always returns my calls, but it’s been hours since I last heard from her.
Shane – Relax, Alice…. I think you’re over reacting.
Alice – Fuck you, Shane. You don’t know her like I do…. if you did, you’d be doing the same thing.
Shane – All I’m saying is that I think you should wait… she’ll probably call tonight.
Alice – I’m not waiting.
Shane – Great…… do you even have a flight?
Alice – I’ll get on the plane.
Shane – Let me guess… you’re on standby.
Alice – So what if I am….
Shane – You’re hopeless.

When Roxy got to the building, Alice was gone. One of her colleagues had told her that she went home for the day. She thought it was strange, but maybe she wasn’t feeling well and decided to go home. Asking for that tape at this particular time seemed like a bad idea, but she needed it. Roxy would have to find some other way to be a part of her life, now that they weren’t going to be working on her freedom anymore.

Oh fuck, that was an insane chapter!!! Tony that ass pisses me off. Can’t you hand him over to David? Please, please, please? I hate such sleazy guys. Alice should definitely kick his…..ehm, that would be NC-17, lol. But hey, he deserves that. More than anyone. I knew that Roxy would watch that damn tape, even when she promised not to. I’m actually pretty sorry for her. She’s kind of a misguided poor woman with no ability to lead a normal life and socialize with other people. “Friendship” is probably a foreign word to her. Sometimes I think she’s also quite naive although she seems to act serious and determined when someone’s around. No idea what she would do knowing what Bobby’s got on his mind. Most likely blow his head away, but that’s just a simple guess, lol. Roxy should go to a therapist…why not taking Dana, Alice and Andrea with her? All of them need help. Such a session would be fucking interesting, especiallywhen all of them were facing each other in the same room. YAY, mud-wrestling:-)R>Of course not literally spoken….but that would be also fun, lol. I doubt that Alice and Dana are going to work out at the very moment. Mostly, because they don’t trust each other. Dana asking Shane for staying over at her house and watching out for Alice proves it even more. Not sure how they’re going to handle this in the future. Communication should be the key but even that seems very difficult because Dana withholds what she really wants to say. Sex can’t be the answer on a continuing basis. I fear, they’re going to lose each other when they don’t start to face their issues and take them seriously. To me it seems that Dana always backs away when Alice tries to close the gap that’s in between them. Women….at least, I have still faith that there are good people out there, like that gentleman on the airport:-) If it wasn’t for him Alice would go nuts. She’s a bundle of nerves anyway, lol. Hope Dana finds out something about Roxy’s mother and that this “spice girl” gives her a hint on where she could get some information. Have you ever been to a strip club,brteyes? Just wondering for you wrote it pretty detailed, lol. I wouldn’t mind a lap dance on my birthday….but it should be someone special:-) What about you? Oh Andrea….she’s such a crazy bitch. But I like that. I wish I knew where those right spots are. Did Roxy and Andrea practice that at school? Maybe you should just give me their phone numbers,lol. And I totally agree with Andrea: Dana has ‘the body made for fucking’. Dana should never find out what happened between her and Andrea in that hotel room. But everythingresurfaces eventually. Alice should see the marks on Dana’s back. Am looking forward to more angst, manipulation, distrust, lies, torture, infidelity, sex and drama in the next chapter:-) This was a brillant installment and I can’t wait to read what else you have in store. You had me worried that you stopped updating. I do wonder why Bobby doesn’t just order Roxy to kill Dana, maybe he likes to play with his prey first, like a cat. Roxy is right about one thing, Dana and Alice need to work thur their trust issues, too bad they don’t remember the mess they made the last time they both kept secrets form each other. They might love each other but I don;t think it will be enough to keep them together. I also wonder if Dana will remeber Andrea’s violation of her and if it will re-open and wounds from the times when Lara also violated her. I really hope Andera leaves Dana alone from now on, but I have a feeling you have other plans. PPS

I’m starting to think these two just need a clean break from each other. And the corrupt law enforcement type people are pissing me off. Can’t Danish go to the real police? I mean, seriously. Yikes. They just can’t seem to find any sort of common ground that doesn’t involve sex. I’m all for a little dirty stuff, but that can’t be everything…I dunno. That Andrea chick weirds me out. I still love this, though, and I’m curious to see where you go from here. Two people can only take so much before they snap.
OK. I really wish this was a book so I could skip to the ending and make sure my Danish live happily ever after. I’m in this for the long haul, though. I think a lot of their communication issues would be resolved if they didn’t have to worry about bad FBI agents, the mob, and miscellaneous psychos. LOL. Another good chapter — I am glad you are back.
so roxy’s friend is just as evil as she is. you are one twisted sister my dear. why are you beating up on alice and dana so much? those two sweethearts don’t deserve all of this hell you are putting them through. don’t get me wrong i love your story, obviously because i haven’t stopped reading yet. and i still look forward to each new chapter. but golly gosh gee cut them some slack. : )anyway, i hope you are busy at work on your next installment. oh and guess who i saw the other night?! the one and only gabby. it was hard not to buy a drink and walk up to her and throw it in her face for being such a shithead to alice. fortunately i can seperate reality from television. anyway keep those twisted thoughts going and get the next chapter up soon!!
