    After the baby shower Marina invited everyone to the Planet for “Rising Stars Night”. Similar to Bette’s emerging artist shows at the art gallery which promoted new artists, rising stars at the Planet was a venue to promote new musical and comedic talent.     After the baby shower Marina invited everyone to the Planet for “Rising Stars Night”. Similar to Bette’s emerging artist shows at the art gallery which promoted new artists, rising stars at the Planet was a venue to promote new musical and comedic talent.

    It was held every other Saturday night to give emergent musician and comedians the chance to perform on stage in front of a live audience. The performers auditioned and only those thought to be pleasing to an eclectic crowd were selected for the coveted spots. Several of the musicians and comedians had developed a cult following after performing at the Planet and as a result got more bookings at the various clubs around the city.

    Bette wasn’t planning to attend that night but she talked Kit into going. “Kit you should go to the Planet tonight. I sat through the auditions for the band that is playing tonight and they are exceptional. You mentioned that you were looking for a new voice to record a duet with on the farewell CD right?”

    “Yeah. It’s called ‘Bareback’. I need a rough edged male voice that can get down and dirty. You’ll know what I mean when you hear the lyrics.”

    “Then you definitely need to listen to Angus Partridge. He’s the lead singer, also guitarist and keyboards. He’s a skinny white boy with that scruffy unshaven look that you like and he’s a fan. I have no doubt he’d love to get down and dirty with you.” Bette teased her big sister with a wink.

    “Just as long as he can sing.” Kit said nonchalantly but was definitely intrigued. It had been a while since she was romantically involved with anyone.

    “Oh he can sing, but you’ll just have to judge for yourself.”

    “I will. So what are you and Tina up to tonight?”

    “We’re staying in. She and Sam are working on the baby shower DVD.”

    “DVD?”

    “Yeah, they are making it some kind of big production. They borrowed editing equipment from the studio and mixing tracks from DJ Carmen’s music selections. They are in the media room behind closed doors right now. You’d think they were working on a blockbuster movie or something. They don’t want me to peek until it’s finished.”

      • wkm – is it too slow for Bette and Tina or are you getting impatient for things to heat up :-). I can’t promise fireworks because I don’t really get into writing NC17’s but they will break a sweat soon.

      • azmama – the weekend will definitely provoke opportunity for action …

        You made a comment early in this story (chapter 11) where you said “In order for this Bette and Tina coupling to work, Tina has to modify her life plans. At this point, she is physically attracted to Bette but nothing has occurred so right now it all seems so sterile, no panting, no sweating, no carnal desires have been revealed. Seems too much like an arrangement, all very platonic and business like. Looking forward to the next chapter”.

        I responded that I thought their behavior was appropriate for the stage of their relationship at the time which was platonic friends but I also said that if you stuck with me I would address the supposed ‘lack of passion’. We’re almost there and they will have that conversation during the cabin weekend but there will also be ‘action’ to support it. I’m not an NC17 author and I don’t feel the need for graphic detail when the sex is implied but I hope you will see my point of view in having them take it very slowly – the main reason is they are not ready for sex for the sake of sex.

    4. Hey bat, did you have a change of heart about Helena? I am not expecting an answer as I know you never give anything away about your stories, but it was just too tempting reading that Winnie and Helena are going to the Planet together and about their interaction during the baby shower. Glad Bette and Tina are going to take some time out to just be together without any distraction. They really need to discuss how they are going to proceed with everything that is happening and what they expect from the other. Thank you so much for taking the time to re-post this intriguing story.

      • Hey as1219 – Thanks for commenting. No I won’t give anything away but as is my usual style in writing these stories you can expect me to introduce a lot of different directions in the storyline as I set up future chapters. I try not to be too predictable or redundant so hopefully I will keep the interest of the readers since I don’t do NC17’s – :-).

        I did some heavy editing in this chapter (25/25a) and the next (25b) from when I originally wrote this story. I actually softened Bette’s character a little because she was sounding like a commando but I didn’t change Helena. You were very observant to pick up on the Helena/Winnie match-up because if Helena does change for the better Winnie has something to do with it.

      Bette and Tina you take relationship, I confess
      I’m a fan nc 17 this is true, however
      I never fail to enjoy a great history as
      this, just because they do not have a Nc: 17.
      I love this charm that this discovery is
      Bette and Tina, I love those moments of conversation
      they have with small moments of snogging,
      you write without elaborating.
      10 Stars.
      Note: My reading is delayed with many history
      and am trying to upgrade it
      December is Christmas and New Year, and the
      Bethlehem Airport becomes a boiler of people
      coming and going
