    Chapter 27, part 5: L is for the way you look at me (Bette needs some comfort…is Tina up to the task?)

     

    Tina stood there silently, watching Bette and admiring her beauty and flawless features. ‘I don’t know if I can take it any longer. I’m falling in love with her more and more with each passing minute and I don’t even know how deep she feels about me,’ Tina sighed, trying to keep her emotions inside, ‘I know I will wait forever for her but how long is forever…’

     

    Her thoughts were interrupted by Bette as she shifted her body on the couch to get in a more comfortable position. She opened her eyes and smiled at Tina, “Is dinner ready? I think I’m really hungry.”

     

    Tina smiled in return and took Bette’s hand, leading her to the kitchen.  

     

    They ate in silence but Tina was well aware of quick glances that Bette was giving her constantly when she thought that Tina was busy with her food. At one point Tina looked at Bette at the same time and they both stared at each other for a moment, trying to read the emotions in their eyes.

     

    Tina was well aware that Bette had the most beautiful and mesmerizing eyes she had ever seen. She was drowning in them and she was helpless to stop herself from Bette Porter addiction. Tina unconsciously licked her lips and grabbed her wine glass, quickly moving it towards her mouth to hide her desire from Bette.

     

    Bette was completely hypnotized by that simple action. All she could see was Tina’s luscious lips sparkling with the wine drops, the tip of her tongue tasting the crimson liquid, and her index finger absently swirling the rim of the glass when Tina put it back on the table.

     

    “Tee…Tina,” Bette stuttered nervously and asked, “Has anybody ever told you that you are beautiful?”

     

    Tina almost spilled her wine when she heard that. It was unexpected but a pleasant surprise. She gave Bette a quick look and then lowered her eyes back to her wine glass, “No,” she said timidly, “Not really.”

     

    “Let me be the first then and tell you that you are very beautiful,” Bette said quietly, knowing that she was blushing again.

     

    “Thank you, Bette,” Tina replied, feeling really happy inside and added with a soft chuckle, “You are not bad yourself.”

    4. B&TF you did such a wonderful job writing how Bette was feeling as she discovered her sexuality for the first time. Her shyness, her desire. her naivite were very palpable. I was so glad to see an update tonight. I’m hoping we might get another one sometime this week.
