Tina finally pulled away from her sister and wiped away a few tears.

“Please, come in, come in,” Julie said cheerfully, trying to hide her own tears. They went inside and saw Julie’s husband coming down the stairs with their two little boys.

“This is my girlfriend Bette Porter,” Tina introduced the brunette to them, “Bette, this is Julie Peters, my sister…this is her husband Steven and their two kids, John and Rick.”

“Tina, we put you both in the guest room. Our house is not that big, is it okay?” Julie said, missing Bette’s introduction as Tina’s girlfriend.

“It’s perfect, Jules…everything is fine, don’t worry,” Tina replied, happy to be there.

“Do you girls want to rest after your red-eye and before lunch?” Steven asked, taking their luggage upstairs.

“Yes, please…I think I need at least an hour nap,” Bette replied, secretly winking at Tina.

“Oh…yes, it would be great,” Tina blushed and Steven left them alone, smiling as he closed the door behind him.

“Do you think he knows what we’re planning to do?” Bette asked, falling flat on her back on the large and comfortable bed.

“If he doesn’t, he might get an idea after we done napping,” Tina laughed and snuggled close to Bette.

“Then I’d better keep your mouth occupied with something to make our napping as quiet as possible,” Bette laughed as well. “I think it’s time to use that ‘jail’ card to its full advantage,” she suggested, running her hand up and down Tina’s thigh and kissing her neck.

“You’re not tired, babe?” Tina asked, covering a yawn with her hand.

“I won’t do anything if you don’t want me to,” Bette replied, softly licking that special spot behind Tina’s ear.

“Bette…oh,” Tina moaned, “I need you…use the card, use the card.”

“As you wish, honey,” Bette happily obliged and moved on top of Tina, placing small kisses all over her face.

After making love they both fell asleep, being happy and satisfied in each other’s arms. Steven knocked on the door couple of hours later, inviting them to lunch. They came downstairs and while everybody ate, Tina asked about her grandmother’s condition.

“She has been in the same nursing home for the last four years and her condition is getting worse. She doesn’t recognize anyone and most of the time she doesn’t even speak,” Julie said sadly. “I visit her every week and sometimes she just sits by the window or lies in her bed and stares at the same spot for hours. The nurses have to remind her to eat constantly. It’s really sad.”
