Planet Terror: The One With The Kinky Restraints
Alice snorted. “Kid gloves? She’s been eaten by zombies, come back from the dead, and saved our asses on more than one occasion.”
“She is still my daughter.” Peggy said haughtily. “You’ll understand when…well, when this little one grows up.” She smiled down at her granddaughter. “She’ll be 50 and you’ll still all want to feed her and make certain she’s warm and happy…and…free of zombies and medical experimentation. Excuse me ladies.”
“Bye Peggy.” Alice laughed, waving the older woman away. “Mothers.” She sighed.
“I miss mine.” Lara said quietly. The others nodded. They stayed away from the stories that contained little more than heartache and grief. The horrors of discovering half eaten loved ones, and peacefully sleeping suicides, were burned still in their minds and in their dreams. They remembered being children, and hearing of what nuclear weapons would soon do to humans. Then, sometime in their 20s, the fear machine began to talk about bio-warfare. Only, no one expected it to come from the American government itself.
None of their mothers, except for Helena’s, had made it out alive.
Lara looked thoughtfully down at Caiohme, who played with her blocks. She looked up at the blonde woman. When Lara smiled reassuringly at her, the little girl went back to playing.
“I’m worried about Bette and Helena.” Alice said quietly. “I think we all are…I mean what the hell is that guy doing, anyway?”
“He said something to me the other day, that was really weird.” Aikane jumped in right away, as though she had been waiting for an opportunity say something.
“What was that?” Lara asked.
“He said…well, he was talking shit about the people of Hawaii…said a whole lot of rambling…missionary type stuff…” She pursed her lips angrily, obviously sugarcoating whatever exchange had gone on. “I mean he’s a science dude, right? Most of those folks aren’t religious nuts…”
“Usually the two find themselves on opposite poles, at least until all that quantum stuff took off.” Alice actually remembered writing something on this very topic, and presenting it on her old radio show.
“He was talking about creationism.” Aikane started laughing. “I mean that’s the heart of it, right? Big bang versus Adam and Eve? He called my people savage relics of Soddom…I mean that doesn’t even make sense, aside from how rude it was.”

lol, incidently…sofa’s fine, just busy busy busy. i thought i’d yell her ‘name’, but didn’t mean to imply that anything is wrong with her. lol
Yeah, I kinda wondered about sofa, but then I just thought you were just paying homage to “A Streetcar Named Desire”… So, Bette as bionic womanoid? Hell yes! And I think Monopoly has caused more deadly fights than any beanbag ever could. Caiohme should be kept well clear, until such time as she can kick ass and take names. Which, with her parents, might not be too long. I’m hoping you really are posting soon, cos I don’t think the sandman’s going to visit me tonight. Cheers hb
Bette and Helena may have super hearing, but even with the zombie strain in their blood they may find it severely diminished if they keep taking that Oxy shit. Ask Rush Limbaugh. And speak clearly and directly into his hearing aids when you do. I think oxycontin is second only to crystal meth amongst the trailer park crowd. I was kind of sorry Peggy merely diminished the doctor’s mandate. She should have cut off his dick, the sadist (and you said this chapter was choppy). Why do sadism and religion so often go together? Why play Monopoly at the edge of oblivion? (Because it’s such gosh darn fun!) Anyway, I still hope Peggy, or somebody can pull the right strings to find a cure. And I hope you can pull the right strings to bring us some torrid, superhuman belena sex in the next chapter. Thanks for getting this one out!
Okay, what is with that damn doctor…he creeps me out. Caiohme seems like the onl sane one out of the bunch. I’m having fantasy about a super human half-zombie sexy Bette and a bionic Helena now, so thanks bunches HB. PPS
funnyone you just kill me!!!!!Oh and hb, your story is good too! LOL
Dr. “Evil” is really weird, I don’t trust him at all. I’m afraid he’s going to kill Bette and Helena… But that’s not going to happen… right? RIGHT? heheh I Love this story! PPS!!!
I’m enjoying the serious-minded Caiohme. If she could speak, I expect she’d be the story’s consistent voice of reason. As it is, I picture her surveying the surrounding mayhem with a permanent “WTF?” thought bubble over her head.
