Round n Round We Go (Ch.24)
“The thing is, I never signed our divorce paper.” Bette shrugged and stuck her tongue out as if it was a misspelling in her school paper.
The statement threw her off slightly. Tina was not entirely sure how to process or react to that. She froze in her line of thought and parted her lips to have nothing come out.
“So technically, you’re still my wife, and, it’s our tenth anniversary.” She continued with a certain tone that contained her attitude, like she was the boss to everything in the world.
Tina loved it.
“I want us to celebrate that.” She stood up, and wandered to the wall.
It was when the blonde saw the final detail of the scene. An exquisite wooden instrument, with strings silvery like a river. She always wondered what happened to the violin since the last time she saw it. And now here it was, resting in the crook of Bette’s neck.
“I think you may remember this.” She straightened her posture, stood tall like a royal heiress and tilted the violin to the precise angle. Then after a soft, crisp glide of the fiddle, notes from Debussy’s famous composition, The Girl with Flaxen Hair, dived down from the strings and reverberated in the empty room.
How strange, yet how familiar. Tina watched the figure in the caress of candle light, and let her sight linger on the silky curls, on the angular jaw, on the toned arms and strong hands, on the fingers that gave her the greatest pleasure, on the lips that cared for hers, on the eyes telling her she was so loved… The surrounding world swirled and they traveled back in time, to the well preserved memory where she heard the girl play for her.
The piece was not perfect. Bette’s hands were not as skillful as they used to be. She skipped notes, messed up glides, for she had not played in what like forever, and only picked it up days ago. But she didn’t mind, she shouldn’t mind. The engulfed look, the admiration in Tina’s eyes told her that she was doing more than fine.
It took just the right amount of mistakes for the composition to transform from Debussy’s famous piece to their song, The Girl with Golden Hair, a song played to win a girl’s heart, to tie two beings, two souls together for the thing that people eternally sought out—the eternity.

Hey guys! Sorry that it took longer than my usual, already slow ass to update a new chapter.
And it’s so nice to see so many people that support me and like my writing.
I think it’s pretty obvious that this story is heading nicely to a happy ending.
Spoiler alert: so now we have the wedding, what’s next…hmmm… I’m thinking, children?
The past week I was packing my stuff for the travel. Leaving on the 18th this month to the exciting USA. I’m nervous, like shaking nervous as the days count down. But I’m also so very excited that I’ll spend the following four years at University of Wisconsin Madison. It’s an absolute bless for me to study there.
Maybe I’ll finally meet someone, who knows. :)
Oh and I’m landing in Chicago first so definitely try the Chicago pizza!
Question: has anybody seen the show Chicago Fire?
I read some fanfic regarding the couple Leslie Shay and Allison Rafferty. But there’re way less fanfic for this paring. I think they’re cute tho.
Peace and Love
Thank you so much for this… Make me a wonderful weekend. Glad to hear that you are settled down fine. Please continue more , foresee some unsettle business with Melvin, of course a second baby will be a great joy too.
Did watched Chicago fire, as you’d mentioned they are cute.
Whatever you may wish for… Good luck dear & take care.

Delighted that you’ve continued this story, it’s great! Please continue it, I love these two and the way you write their characters! Thank you made my weekend.
Wonderful chapter! You have such a great way of telling a story. Thank you!
Good luck in Madison! Cold winters but a beautiful place. PPS!
Robyn,
I have already read your update last night but decided not to comment right away coz I have to finish my story too at that time.
Oohh Noh! So you think I’m the slowest now in terms of updating? Let’s ask Phacey or Bette0Porter regarding that. Haha!
As usual I love how in love Bette is with Tina here.. 10 years of almost being away and yet she is extremely still in love with Tee. It gave me hope that true love never fades.
Are you near yet with your ending? I’m so excited for your other stories :)
God bless you on your trip.
XOXO
