Seemingly Lost Chptr. 1 (If y’all like)

Bette sat twiddling her thumbs she was unbelievably nervous. But seeing as how this was a blind/ double date, she was couldn’t help but to think of all the things that could go wrong. And 1/4 of the pair being late was one of them. Kim was sitting and felt the tension in Bette’s posture. Her back looked tight and she couldn’t sit still. Trying to ease the worrying Bette, Kimberly spoke “So where did you two meet?” but her question was directed towards Tina. She for some reason couldn’t catch Bette’s eyes long enough to spark a conversation. Her eyes were constantly roaming Tina’s body taking in every curve that the dress just accentuated and begged for attention from all eyes. She thought she was doing this in a secretive way and was completely oblivious to the eyes staring at her.

“Well I was a lost country girl from the backwoods of Jackson. That’s what you’ll hear from Bette’s version.”

“It’s true, she was this poor, little, trusting, country girl. It was the cutest thing. So I get to my room and I see this lost girl roaming the halls looking for her room number, when finally she stopped at the dorm map and was looking back and forth between her paper and the map…”

    “And that’s when it happened.”

    “What?” Kimberly asked.

“Tina got hit with a water balloon. A really big one. You know like a party balloon meant to be blown up not for water fights. She was soaked”

While they were all sharing a good laugh at a blushing Tina’s expense, Bette heard the distinct heels of her cousin on the porch. And as quick as a flash she was in the house, smiling at everyone and apologizing for her tardiness. She snatched off her sunglasses and fixed her eyes on the one person who could make her day seem complete.

“Hey baby.” Tina said beaming and stretching out her arms for Justine to fall into as she did everyday.

“Hi sweetie.” she said flashing her winning smile at Tina and placing her hands on hips to avoid an all telling embrace. Bette was the first one to see it, Justine was sporting a dangerous amount of red lipstick on her neck.

    1. Definitely have my attention. Liking it very much. Bette can’t keep saving her cousin at the cost hurting Tina and her self. In the long run, it is going to back fire on Bette. It is always better to know no matter how painful it is. Post continue and POST SOON!!!

    2. Great! I like it very much…Bette can’t tell Tina about Justine, for one she is family and two she is in love with her girl friend. It would look like she said something just to get the girl. Poore Bette…I think Tina just needs to open her eyes a little more and see Justine for what she is, a slut…Please post another soon. I can tell I am going to be addicted to this one lol.

    3. Oh I am loving this. Bette needs to let Justine dig her own hole. What is Kimberly even doing there? She is putting herself thru unnecessary anger and rejection. Keep posting.

    4. Yeah, I’m with miamigirl, why is Bette pulling Justine’s fat from the fire? Just cause you share blood doesn’t mean you have to enable their misbehavior. Too bad Tina is so blind, both to Justine’s bullshit and to Bette’s ardor. Still, Bette isn’t in a good position to remove the scales from her eyes, it would only look self-serving. Netta, honey, you must have liquid soap running in your veins. Ross Hunter would be proud. Yes, more of this please, but don’t abandon “Everything”.

    5. ooo someone’s brain is getting enough oxygen and glucose…the creative juices are flowing~ I’d like to see what you have planned for these girls :)

    6. I am with Lamentamini, get rid of Justine and maybe have Kimberly tell Tina of Justine’s extra activities. Hopefully, Tina will see that Bette only has eyes for her and no other person. Please continue.

    7. To answer another reader, what is Kimberley doing there? She’s the impartial observer. We see the story through her eyes. You have some sophisticated plotting going on here, Netta baby! Thanks!
