Seemingly Lost Chptr. 1 (If y’all like)

Sure enough there was her cell phone on the counter. Tina was thrown a little bit she turned around to go into the bedroom to ask how she knew where it was, but Justine emerged making her final adjustments and saw the look on tina’s face. Before Tina had a chance to speak she said “You were talking to me eating a kiwi baby.” Tina couldn’t do anything but smile, Justine knew her so well. Justine grabbed her and kissed on the lips and locked her eyes on hers almost speaking to her.

“Well anybody hungry?” Justine asked releasing Tina.

“I’m starving.” Bette said rising heading towards the door. Tina gave Kimberly a look of apology but she just brushed it off and smiled at her. She knew nothing was ever going to come of this date with Bette, and that was fine with her. She just couldn’t believe Tina could be so naive so as not to see that Bette was completely in love with her.

They took separate cars at Bette’s suggestion so as to avoid backseat discomfort of accidental touching or bad close proximity conversation. At least if the silence in her car was choking she could always turn up the music. Bette drove the whole way avoiding eye contact with Kimberly. It wasn’t until they were at a red light did Kimberly reach over and turned Bette’s head toward her and she said “try to keep your eyes off her ass all night.”

Justine and Tina saw this through their windshield and were hopeful that she was leaning in to kissing Bette, but they were disappointed when Bette floored it at the turn of the light.

She pulled up in a screeching halt, the valet driver jumped back a little. He nervously opened the door for Kimberly as Bette got out and tipped him extra to keep her car out of harm’s way. They waited outside for a little while for Tina and Justine. They pulled up just as Bette was rolling her eyes dreading tonight’s date. Tina immediately joined Kim and couldn’t wait to ask her what was going on at the light. Bette held the door open for the two and watched as they walked in. After paying the valet Justine came up behind Bette and flicked her neck and said “payback.”

“Yeah, well I’m sending you the dry cleaning bill.” Bette said with venom in her voice. Justine just looked completely confused to that reference.

“Next time tell whatever you’re with to leave her mark somewhere else.” Bette finished flashing her sleeve at Justine. Then it dawned on her that Bette saved her again from Tina finding out the truth.

“Sorry cuz, new intern. It takes a while to break them in.” she said smiling her most devilish smile.

“When are you gonna settle down and make an honest woman of my best friend, you can’t keep doing this to her.” Bette said walking towards the table where Tina and Kim was still standing waiting for their dates to join them.

Justine said “I’m very settled, I come home every night to the same woman, don’t I?” she said it low enough so only Bette could hear that part then she continued on “and as for this woman, I’m waiting for her to accept my marriage proposal.”

She finished by kissing Tina and made sure she heard her the last part of it.

Bette’s heart sank to her feet, she had no idea she had even asked Tina to marry her. The word that could come to her mind was “When?”

    “2 days ago. I haven’t said no.”

“But you haven’t said yes either.” Kimberly said as she saw how hurt Bette looked when she heard.

“But I’m willing to wait, hell I got all the time in the world.” Justine said smiling and taking Tina’s hand into hers.

She knew her cousin didn’t deserve a woman like Tina but how could she betray family? Could she ever gather enough courage to tell Tina about Justine, if so how would she react? She could hate Bette forever, and walk right out of life. Bette buried her hurt that night for the sake of the date and fought all parts of her heart screaming for Tina’s attention.

    1. Definitely have my attention. Liking it very much. Bette can’t keep saving her cousin at the cost hurting Tina and her self. In the long run, it is going to back fire on Bette. It is always better to know no matter how painful it is. Post continue and POST SOON!!!

    2. Great! I like it very much…Bette can’t tell Tina about Justine, for one she is family and two she is in love with her girl friend. It would look like she said something just to get the girl. Poore Bette…I think Tina just needs to open her eyes a little more and see Justine for what she is, a slut…Please post another soon. I can tell I am going to be addicted to this one lol.

    3. Oh I am loving this. Bette needs to let Justine dig her own hole. What is Kimberly even doing there? She is putting herself thru unnecessary anger and rejection. Keep posting.

    4. Yeah, I’m with miamigirl, why is Bette pulling Justine’s fat from the fire? Just cause you share blood doesn’t mean you have to enable their misbehavior. Too bad Tina is so blind, both to Justine’s bullshit and to Bette’s ardor. Still, Bette isn’t in a good position to remove the scales from her eyes, it would only look self-serving. Netta, honey, you must have liquid soap running in your veins. Ross Hunter would be proud. Yes, more of this please, but don’t abandon “Everything”.

    5. ooo someone’s brain is getting enough oxygen and glucose…the creative juices are flowing~ I’d like to see what you have planned for these girls :)

    6. I am with Lamentamini, get rid of Justine and maybe have Kimberly tell Tina of Justine’s extra activities. Hopefully, Tina will see that Bette only has eyes for her and no other person. Please continue.

    7. To answer another reader, what is Kimberley doing there? She’s the impartial observer. We see the story through her eyes. You have some sophisticated plotting going on here, Netta baby! Thanks!
