Seemingly Lost Chptr. 12
“Umm,…. turn on the GPS system, that’s got an anti theft tracking device on it right?” Bette stopped pacing around the room as the idea struck her.
“I can’t.”
“What do you mean “You can’t?!” Bette was getting more upset by the second.
“Tina had me taken off of the policy this morning they said I am no longer allowed access to the whereabouts of her vehicle.”
Bette sighed audibly into the phone, everything was falling apart and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Still holding the phone to her ear she heard Justine ask “ Do you know where she might be heading?”
“How the fuck should I know, I’m not the one who’s engaged to her!”
“I don’t need this shit from you today. Ok, all I want to do is find her and make sure she’s ok!”
“That’s a far cry from last night wouldn’t you say? Miss “I got to get up early for work” now you’re concerned for her well being? Ain‘t that a bitch!”
“You know what, we can start on the “Justine’s an evil bitch” routine after we find Tina. I’m really worried about her she left her keys and engagement ring in the car. She has yet to come home and grab any clothes. She checked in with her office and didn’t say when or if she was going to return. So that means that she’s not coming back!”
The last sentence beat into Bette’s brain and she felt the sting of them in her body. She threw the phone against the wall smashing it as she screamed “FUCK!” into the air and fell to the floor with her arm catching the edge of the bed. She cried harder now than she did last night. The deep moans shaking her body as she clutched her stomach with her free arm and the other stayed on the edge of the bed. She buried her face into the side of the bed and let her moans become muffled and buried in the privacy of her bedroom.
………………………………………..
Not surprisingly Tina made great time to Tucson Arizona. She was there in a little over 5 hours. For some reason she hoped on highway 10, not knowing where she was going or why. She only stopped here to fill up both of the gas tanks, just in case. She laughed ironically as her father’s voice replayed in her head at the thought “It’s one thing to be emotional, but it’s another to be stupid.” Here she was crying to the point of being puffy in the face and completely out of tears, thinking rationally enough to know that she might run out of gas.

Welcome back and Happy Belated Birthday. I hope Bette can find Tina. Justine needs to disappear.I hope Tina is ok and doesn’t hook up with the waitress or bartender.
Sounds like Tina has someone to lean on at least for the night. Poor Bette has nobody to lean on. Forget Justine, she can lean on a what ever for all I care.
I am so glad you’ve returned, sorry about all your drama lately. I wish you a peaceful weekend! I am guessing Tina is heading to where her brother’s grave is, I hope that Bette is there waiting for her. And no more drinking and driving cause it is too dangerous.
That was good!
