“Why would I be wearing a robe on a date?” she asked in irritation.
Helena grinned.
“Well it could be one of those dates where it’s not really a date, but a fucking date to be precise. You’re not ready when Tina arrives and you two never manage to make it to your “date.” You surely know what I mean, Bette.”
Bette scowled and uncrossed her arms to tighten her sash.
“It’s not a date, Helena. We aren’t dating like that.”
Helena nodded.
“Well show me what you’re wearing on this date of yours.”
Bette sighed again.
“Why did Alice send you here again? Was Alice drunk?”
Helena moved from the living room and headed for Bette’s bedroom.
“What are you doing?” Bette asked trailing after her.
“Speaking of drunk I wasn’t going to mention anything…but I believe you drunk dialed me Bette. And I just wanted to say that you are more than welcome.”
“Look Helena I really don’t want you in here, okay? So whatever little scheme Alice has trapped you into—“
“Jeans? Well, well. I like this shirt. But do you have anything in black? And what about that purple sweater you wore once? You should wear that.”
Bette watched as Helena lifted her outfit of choice and examined it before she headed for her closet.
“I don’t need your help and I really would appreciate it if you didn’t touch my clothes. And what’s this about me calling you? I don’t recall that. Helena! Stop it.”
“Now darling I’m trying to help you,” Helena said glancing at Bette over her shoulder. She caught the disturbed face Bette made as she called her darling and chuckled. “Don’t worry I call everyone that. Now if I started to call you luv then you’d have something to worry about, luv.”
“I don’t need any help,” Bette repeated grimacing as Helena pulled out articles of clothing and tossed them onto the bed.
“You two have been dating for almost two months, right? But you two refuse to call it that. You’re taking these “outings” as Tina calls them. Together. As a family. Blah, blah, blah. The point is that you two are dating. Period. The end. And this date is going to be an important one.”

Pure entertainment from start to finish. I too see great potential for a Bette and Helena friendship, though it’s a Tibette story so you’d have to resist the temptation to take that friendship out of platonic territory.
Leave it to Bette & Tina to get tripped up in their own doubts… geez. Speedy, I ADORE this, and I’m so glad I’ve finally caught up enough to tell you so. Awesomeness, can’t wait for more.

This was great. Love that Shane and Alice are prepping Tina in one home, and Helena is getting Bette ready. Come on where’s the date. What the heck is Snog? though I think I can figure it out.

This story is AWSOME! I can give you 17 reasons why they can forget about S5, and the the first 10 are–this story your story. I mean they haven’t touched on Tina’s relationship to Helena like you have and have her reaching out Bette now. And how I love how Shane is playing with Angelica while she and Alice are getting Tina ready. I could go on, but as long as we have “17 Reasons Why!” , who needs ’em!
