They all make their way into the gallery and upon entering the room that Shane’s exhibit will be shown, they immediately see Shane. She looks nervous, but her demeanor brightens as she sees them walking towards her. She walks over to them, giving Molly a quick kiss and Shay a hug. Everyone hugs Shane and offers their congratulations on being part of the show.

“Where’s your exhibit, babe?” Molly asks, her arm wrapped around Shane’s waist.

“It’s in the back. Drew doesn’t want to unveil it until everyone is here.”

“Are you serious?” Bette asks, impressed.

“Yeah,” Shane replies, coyly. “I’m the featured new artist.”

“That’s great!” everyone responds in chorus.

“When do we get to see it?” Molly asks.

“Soon, soon. Why don’t you all take a look around? I’ll come find you when it’s time,” Shane offers.

            Alice shrugs her shoulders, looks at the group, and says, “Okay. If you say so.”

            As they begin to meander around, Molly asks Shane, “Are you sure? You want me to stay with you?”

            “No, I’m fine. Really. Take Shay around. I have to go find Drew anyway.” She gives Molly a quick kiss and watches as Molly starts to walk away. As she disappears around the corner, with Shay in tow, Shane seeks out Bette and Tina.

            “Bette, Bette,” Shane whispers, as she comes up behind her.

            “Is it time already?” Bette asks, smiling.

            “No, no. I need a favor.”

            “Sure, anything.”
            Somewhat embarrassed, Shane asks, “Can you take Shay tonight?”

            “Why?” Bette asks, puzzled.

            Shane cocks her head and raises her eyebrows, as if to say, “Do I really need to tell you?”

            “Oh… Oh!” Bette exclaims. “Tonight’s the night, then?”

            “Yeah, if all goes according to plan. So can Shay stay at your place tonight or not?”

            “Of course!”

            “Thanks,” Shane says, smiling, somewhat relieved that one obstacle was out of her way. “Just don’t say anything to anyone, okay? I don’t want Molly to know.”

            Bette nods and smiles. “Your secret’s safe with me.”

            As everyone has just about arrived, Drew tells Shane that it is time for her to unveil her exhibit. She runs off to gather Molly, Shay and her friends to the back of the gallery, where her work will soon be on display. Her photographs are on a wall, hidden beneath a tapestry, next to a small podium, atop which Professor Drew Black stands. As he sees Shane approaching, he announces over the microphone, “Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention? I would like to introduce our featured new student artist, Shane McCutcheon.”
