So much more than just a kiss…

Magic, told the tingling of my fingertips…

I love you, I love you, I love you, whispered my heart, lying gently against her chest…

Always, spoke the lips that caressed her mouth…

Infinite, said the tongue that found the tip of hers…

Endless, meant the connection of our linking souls…

Only breathlessness could make the moment less than timeless, and as we both gasped for air, she laid her forehead against mine…

I felt how the air, moved by her breathing, caressed my face, and my hands trailed up to cup her face as I sensed her break… The tug of my heart as she surrender to the sobs that came from deep deep within her soul told me more than all my thoughts before… The love I’d felt for her, since the first moment my eyes had caught those chocolate brown ones, was swelling my heart and eternally growing…

I caught her, as she fell…

Caught her forehead with my lips, in a gesture that so long ago had meant comfort…

Caught the tears that trickled through my fingers over that back of my hands…

Caught her eyes, as I carefully brought up her face, begging her to look at me…

Caught her lips as she kissed me again, the saltiness of her tears merging with the sweetness of her taste, making me tremble uncontrollably…

I felt so much I was afraid I would combust, and as she broke the kiss shortly to cling onto me tighter, I felt her surrender…

Her cheek against mine, I sensed her tears, as they trickled down my face, and when she, sobbing, gave up control, pressing herself against me, I inhaled deeply…

Holding my breath I closed my eyes, trying, with all my strength, to engrave every sensation in my heart, to imprint every gesture, memorize every glance…

I knew I only had this moment, I knew, so well, that it would end… That this short time was all that I had, to show her, and give her, all the love I would have for her this lifetime… And soon… I would have to let go…

I hardened my heart for the words that would, inevitably, come… The statement that this moment, was ‘just’… If it would come now, or later, it would be there, that dreaded sentence…

    ‘It was just a kiss’

    And…

    It was…

It was just a kiss I couldn’t live without… It was my kiss of life…

And although I knew that now it would take even more strength to walk away, something I, undoubtedly, would have to do… I knew it was worth it…

Cause my heart had started pounding again,

    My lungs filled with oxygen…

She had given me my breath,

She had given me my air,

In the hope I didn’t want to have, I shouldn’t have, but couldn’t live without…

My tears fell, and merged with hers, as out cheeks still softly lay against each other…

I felt the tip of her nose follow the line of my cheekbone, and surrendered to the power of her lips… While she pressed them, gently on mine, I saw the flash of light, from behind my closed eyelids, the connection between endlessness and perishable ness, the link between universe and earth, the merging of darkness with light…

I blinked and opened my eyes, only to meet hers, and the light that was in them, behind the liquid that held her pain, told me more than it had ever done…

    Like a star…

    Like a shooting star…

Looking deeply in the dark brown eyes, I knew my fate…

And…The wish I made was not a hard one to choose…

My heart beat with every syllable, and my fingers entangled with hers, when I wished, with all my strength

    For this moment,

    To last… Forever…

    1. I cried when I watched them on screen but now reading you have Me sobbing! I am one of those that has now watched that scene over 20xs and I am awestruck at how much more you read in it, just from Tina’s pov. Awesome!

    2. As I said before, you two are the Dynamic Duo!!! LOL. This had me weeping, while my wife wondered what was wrong. I just pointed at the screen and said it was an incredibly beautiful chapter that I had read. Tina’s point of view just tugged at my heart strings. I can’t wait to read Bette’s. Thanks!!!
