    Given the fact that it was winter and it could get below freezing at night they had outdoor heaters set up and lap blankets available so it wasn’t unbearably cold.     Given the fact that it was winter and it could get below freezing at night they had outdoor heaters set up and lap blankets available so it wasn’t unbearably cold. The bit of discomfort was well worth it for the vistas especially once the sun started to set behind them.

    Bette and Tina selected soft jazz music to be played during the processional and recessional. White runners were set up to the right, to the left, and down the middle all converging in the center in front of the canopy where Kit stood waiting.

    As Carmen queued up the first musical selection Jackie came down the middle aisle ahead of Angie and James dropping rose petals along the way. James held Angie’s hand as he escorted her to the front to stand next to her Aunt Kit. James and Jackie then took their seats in the first row.

    Suzie came down the aisle from the left dropping rose petals along the way as she was followed by the vision that was Bette Porter looking stunningly beautiful in a dark winter pant suit; her hair in natural curls hung down to her shoulders. She was absolutely beaming with a smile so bright that it competed with the setting sun. Shane held lightly to Bette’s elbow as she escorted her to stand next to Kit and Angie under the canopy. Bette gave her bouquet to Shane as she and Suzie took their seats in the front row.

    Bette turned to watch Sophie coming down the aisle dropping rose petals along her path closely followed by Tina and her escort Alice who held lightly to Tina’s elbow. Tina was dressed for the winter climate in a dark evening coat over her matching dress. Her shimmering blond hair was swept up with tendrils hanging down. She too wore a smile that radiated; her eyes reflecting her love.

    Alice led Tina to the canopy then took Tina’s bouquet. She and Sophie were seated in the front row with the rest of the bridal party. Angie stepped forward and stood between her parents. She takes hold of Tina’s left hand and Bette’s right as all three face their guests. Kit is standing directly behind Angie as she addresses the audience.

      • evy, thank you for encouraging me to re-post it. I actually enjoyed reading it again myself. I had forgotten a lot of the wonderful moments shared by Bette, Tina and Angie on their journey to three hearts one home. It’s coming to an end. One more chapter and then the finale.

      For me it is like reading it for the first time.
      Their commitment ceremony was absolutely amazing, how they included Angie and all the people Who are dear to them. It brought tears in my eyes.
